If the rumors are true and there will be no roll over orders for 2023 into 2024 I suspect you are going to see a big price increase for the 2024 hybrid orders. Would not surprise me to see at least a 5k increase. That seems to be the most likely way they balance out the orders going forward.

Which makes it no longer a remarkable option, so go buy any other hybrid on the market. Ford screws themselves even worse, opens the door wide for Stout or anyone else. Brilliant strategy.

Wonder if this is just not an effort to get the remaining canceled VINs scheduled before anything else since they are all hybrid.

The Maverick by itself (ECOBoost) has little to interest me. Plenty of other vehicles in the same price range with the same utility (for my needs).

The attraction of the Maverick for me, is soley for a hybrid Maverick. ECO cannot be flat towed. ECO mileage is nice but nothing special. ECO engine is not going to last as long as the hybrid. Supposed better ECO performance is not at all important to me.

That is why I am here, I need a flat tow vehicle and this one would be perfect. I am patient and if it happens, good, if not I will eventually move on.

In theory they have been doing that the last few months since they had low priority codes. I think it is more to give hybrid orders hope that they will be built. Otherwise why even announce that you are only scheduling hybrids? But if i am honest it doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

Same here. We also want one to flat tow. If Ford can’t produce ours this year,Jeep has lots to choose from on their lots around here.

I agree. Inflation plus demand = cost increase. They underpriced the hybrids to begin with.

If you want or need a Maverick your best bet is going to the ECOBOOST. I really like mine and I am sure it will not disappoint. Power and great fuel mileage.

Are you really seeing real world mileage above the EPA estimated range? I am not a commuter, but am looking for a more efficient vehicle than our big expedition to handle my day to day errand driving. On road trips would also be nice to have something super efficient. I’ve considered the EB recently, as I wouldn’t hate the AWD and tow package but the estimated mileage isn’t that much better than our giant vehicle. For what it’s worth, driving style is like a grandpa as I’m often driving with one of the kids.

But given that as of last week Ford said hybrids will still only make up 35% of capacity, Ford still needs to schedule EBs to fill out the schedule. My theory is just that Ford is focusing solely on the hybrids to get those leftover cancelled VINs and maybe some rollovers hybrids scheduled without the EBs muddying the waters since basic math says the EB orders are otherwise done by late spring.

How in the world is a trailer hitch *still* a restraint!? There's tons of companies making them all day long for the aftermarket, find a new supplier already...

Yep. Too bad they also make them for Ford's other vehicles, RAM, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan, etc.

Does anyone have a guess as to how many unscheduled MY22 hybrids (and cancelled MY22 hybrids) have yet to be scheduled? This is interesting news about only scheduling Hybrids this week.
Nothing that dealers can see from Ford (at least that I have access to!) will separate brand new 23 orders from reordered 22s
