Just got my Bak Revolver X4s installed on my 23 Lariat Tremor, and followed the instructions exactly - specifically where it says to bring the side rails up until they touch the front of the bulkhead. However, there is a pretty decent gap at the corner of the tailgate as a result and it looks like a lot of water will end up getting in.

Anyone else have this issue or a solution?

Ah searched and found some threads but somehow missed this one thank you!
You’re welcome.
I had a similar issue with my Ford hard roll up which is also made by Bak.
My current X4s seems to be the correct length. I can grab a tape measure and check the length of my rails.
Maybe Ford is building some Mavs with longer beds 😆

Would you mind doing that? Not really trying to hack this thing considering I just spent 1k on it. Thanks

Had a BAK cover on a Titan I rented the last week. Not impressed... Didn't do great keeping dry. Didn't fit well. Heavy. Glad I went a different direction.

Which one did you go with?

I got the Truxedo Pro X15. Nice enough to be happy long term. Cheap enough if I decide to upgrade later not out a ton. I got it along with the TS rail system.

Right now they are sitting in my living room (Christmas gift) waiting for the truck. Window sticker populated yesterday so it's on the horizon.

FWIW I have the X4S and the fitment is perfect and I never get water inside, I'm pretty happy with it's operation. One thing I hated about my brother's tri-fold was how awkward it was to operate with one hand if you were holding something. With the X4S one hand opening is super easy. I would contact them, they're really good to work with from what I saw with another person here who had a fitment issue. I think someone cut the rails short or something.

I had that. I put more foam at the front of rail, so the rail would be closer to the tailgate. It also helped with the latches, so they didn’t run as much on the levelers.

To also help, I put a tailgate seal on as well.

I had the Truxedo Pro X15 at first, it switched to X4S. I like the X4S more. Cover type is personal preference.

I ignored the instructions and pulled the cover down toward the tailgate and it was good. Hopefully that will work ok for yours.

I HAVE THE SAME COVER, I MOVED THE RAILS RIGHT UP AGAINST THE TAILGATE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE.

Mine are exactly 54”. Looks like the gap is due to the curvature in the molding.

Thanks all! Slid the rails back towards the tailgate and its much better now. Kind of annoying that it's not direct fit considering the cost but oh well.

I have the BAK trifold and have had not fitment issues, but clearly this is an utter failure fit by the BAK people. Does anyone know if BAK has addressed this?
