Called today to check on order status. I ordered day one of the 2023 order bank opening. So far, only the 45 day delay letter, repeated. Called to see what Ford knows and was told they know nothing, and can give no information. I said, nicely, that they are losing customers by not either making the truck or at least having information. She said: “Do what you have to do”. Obviously, Ford has decided to flush Maverick customers. Glad I sold my Ford stock.

Call center people have clearly had enough of people calling to inquire about their Maverick! That person is likely going to return to their old job of outgoing calls for bill collection.

People have weird expectations of customer service people. You called someone who has absolutely nothing to do with even one single portion of the ordering, producing, transport or sales part of your transaction and got a little shitty with her when she didn't have the answers you wanted. Should she have respond that way? No. But they get enormous numbers of calls from people just like you, many of whom likely respond to her way worse than you. At the end of the day much of this has little to do with Ford and more to do with 3rd party suppliers. Yet low level customer service people get shit on. She is human and is likely sick of peoples shit. It is hard to fully contain this when your everyday is like that. Have some perspective and remember who you are talking to.

You clearly have not one single clue how to do business globally or what production entails. You are talking about a multi billion dollar company producing 10's of thousands of cars PER MONTH. If you cannot get a microchip from a producer due to things like half of China still being locked down, WHAT THE FOOK DO YOU SUGGEST THEY DO? "Hey, Bob. This is Bill Ford. Yeah we can't get our chips out of China again. You guys making any in your basement down there in Bama? I need 100K this month. what can you do?" Ford is not imploding. Most manufacturers are having similar issues. (try to order a new Porsche 911 Turbo S right now. And no, one customer service agent who is sick of peoples shit is not remotely indicative of what Ford brass or its share holders think. You are teetering on going off the deep end.

Of course that would be the better answer. But if anyone in here could look me in the eye and tell me that they have never ever responded poorly in a personal or business situation of of frustration, then you are simply a liar.

Yep
The snotty responses don’t cut it, and drive customers away. Before the current orders are built, Toyota will have theirs out. And guess what? Toyota has lots of experience with building hybrids.

How is, "Do what you gotta do" a slight? it is a fair instruction. As opposed to "I'll do what I can and will let you know" but then not let you know, because they don't know. I knew what I was getting into in January and waited for the order banks om 9/15, got my order confirmation on 9/16. Got my first 45-day letter. Saw the email about the ordering allotments and walked into the dealer to change my GL, ECO, Awd, 4k to an XLT, BAP. I'll wait and see what the next 45-days bring. If I am passed over again, I'll take donuts out to the dealer sale group and see if they'll lower my priority but what I wont do? Is call the FORD cs line, not until I get a VIN and production date, and then only if they go past that date without a notice.

Perhaps management that cares about customers, sales and the survival of their company, would get their act together. Example: I tried to order a 2023 Mustang convertible. Web site doesn’t list such a convertible as even being made. We know they are.
