Back seat headrests that fold down. I have this in my current Toyota Tacoma and it helps a lot with rear visibility.

Yes. In my Tacoma, they fold down without having to remove them. Just a convenience. I rarely have people in my backseat, so I will likely just stow them under the seat until I need them.

Current car has automatic 7 gears. 7th is like an over-drive. I believe the Ford 8 speed uses 7th and 8th for special (off-road, snow, rain, etc) gearing. For what it is worth the new Automatic transmissions will typically be much more mpg friendly than manual shifting, at the cost of the fun factor.

Common gripe these days. Don't see it getting better. I don't think I know of ANY fwd vehicles with a manual. I have a stick but it's in my rwd Miata. It's going the way of roll up windows, fly windows, etc.

I wished the Maverick had 2 things...rear defroster and heads-up display. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

Frost Fighter actually makes an aftermarket kit for the rear windshield... don't know how much of a pain it is to install or how well it works. Saw it on another forum.

Front window defrosters, like the back windows (on cars) have. The heater vents don't work fast enough. I wish someone would have figured this out by now.

Some of them do. Ford just calls it their wiper de-icer. With the heated mirrors on there's a strip that runs along the bottom of the windshield like a normal rear window defroster. How well it actually works though

Years ago I literally earned the respect of my father in law showing him that trick. We were all crammed in his car on a cold, damp day and the defroster couldn't keep up. I hit told him to hit the a/c button and he about hit the roof with an old school "get the f*ck out of here!" and he wasn't joking because he was having serious trouble seeing through the fog. Then the windshield cleared. He used to give me shit, after that he took me seriously.

I wonder if the de/icer actually comes on when remote started - It's been discussed that the heated seats/wheel have a mind of their own when asked to engage before getting into the rig -
