I'm pretty sure the 12V socket in the Maverick is only "active" when the vehicle is switched ON, and remains on after you switch the vehicle off for the same brief time period as the lights and radio stay on...I have no idea. The B&D charger charges the other cars, but it's charging indicator doesn't flash on-and-off when inserted in the lighter socket of the Mav (like it will in the other cars when actually charging).
I concluded that no flashing could mean one of two things: it could mean my Mav 12v battery was fully charged OR the charger wasn't working. So I ran some process-of-elimination tests. Found that the Mav's 12v battery was definitely down and needed charging, but no amount of time on the B&D charger would charge it up. Meanwhile, it would charge with a more traditional direct charger.
Because of the above, I seriously doubt you can use the aux power plug to charge the battery...
