Bought a XL and I think I'm feeling bad about it.

Congratulations on your well earned retirement!

The good news is if you don’t get one you can still reorder next year under A/Z plan and avoid most of the dealer shenanigans.
Called ford and I’m still in the queue the lady found my order but no vin # yet it helped put a smile on 😀👍

I have an XLT but if I were to do it over I would get the XL. I love the steelies, and I would add the heated seats myself.

I wouldn't be ashamed, you have an open canvas to make it how you want. Enjoy your new vehicle and make it your own. (y)

Yessir - so much this.

I did just end up switching from a Hybrid to an EB/AWD/4K Tow Pkg so my canvas got even bigger but that was my reasoning for the XL.

XL v. XLT is almost $3k (include sales tax). I can get a lot for $3k.

Let's ignore the wheels and ride with the steelies (for now):

Katzkin leather and heated seats - $1700
Tinted front windows and UV windshield $500
Speaker upgrade - $300
Fender insulation - $125
Leather wrapped steering wheel - $200
Weather tech floor mats - $250

So right now i've got some ugly wheels but SO much more for just over the price of an XLT.

And I won't have that god awful orange to get rid of either.

Plenty of people would be happy to trade wheels with you! I'll have a set for sale next week.

Thanks, I am keeping what I have. I ordered in June of 2021 and just got the truck at the end of October so I am ok but appreciate the offer.

Ordered a 23 Lariat for my wife. She has to have Siriius radio and push button start. She is coming from a Lexus SUV and is used to being pampered. She usually gets the new car and I take her old one but the Maverick was the right vehicle at the right time for me so I ordered it. First new car in 30 years for me.

I ordered a Hybrid XLT in HPR and BAP. After I ordered it, I found an XL in Velocity Blue. Only paid MSRP for it. $19,995 plus full-size spare and the very rare hitch. My 23 order, if it ever gets built, is $24,455 plus $3,000 in accessories (and freaking 10.25% sales tax) are making me wonder if I actually want to spend that much more money for the truck I want. My XL already has a partial BAP lol. My out the door price of my XL was less than the base price if the 23 XLT. It's going to be over 8 grand to up grade.

YNWA mate. Might be the first time I've seen another scouse around here.

Tough year so far but in Klopp we trust!
Very weird start that just turned awful.

Enough time to make the top 4 but also need some luck.

UCL still in front of the boys.

Exciting times ahead even with a bit of uncertainty around FSG.

Need the boys to heal up. We beat City and then drop points to the bottom of the table teams, Very frustrating. We will be ready for UCL.

WC break was good for us. Especially how things played out (Ibra withstanding). Some injuries long term so those can't be resolved with a month break but the knocks can heal.

I expect a strong finish in the EPL - it's all in reach and something to build on for next year.

Also - love me some Darwin. He's cut from the same cloth as Suarez and when he has Lucho, Diogo, Mo, and Bobby flying around him things will be nice. Very nice.

Until my Maverick comes in, I'm driving a bare bones 2007 Chevy Colorado, which I love. It's bare bones. Crank windows, vinyl floor, bench seat with no armrest, steelies, two doors.

I'm not the only one who loves it. I get notes on my windshield all the time asking to buy it. Basic has a style all it own...

Basic makes a ton of sense, particularly when you're talking pickups.

If Toyota or Nissan (or Chevy) came out with a really basic, but mildly updated 70s/80s style mini-truck I would go apeshit. Maybe the Chinese will do it.

Even though I bought a Lariat (and that's what I've ordered as well), I like the XL interior the best. My wife was insistent that we get the Advanced Cruise Control, so that forced me all the way up to the Lariat Lux with CP360+Assist. A LOT of extra $$ for stuff I didn't really need. But I will admit that it's nice to have now that it's here...

But I would still prefer to have cloth seats, and the black / gray interior of the SL is my favorite in the Maverick. It is much cheaper to just add standard cruise control to the XL, and then upgrade the stereo if you don't like the standard one. And even if you add fancy new wheels, you're still going to save a ton of $$$ over my costs - even ignoring the ADM we had to pay to get a rejected order...

Enjoy your Maverick. I bet the kids think it's super cool!

Nice looking older truck!

I'd love the option for a vinyl interior. Floors and seat covers. My truck isn't a "work truck" but vinyl looks at home on a truck and it is soooo much easier to keep clean.
