So scheduled orders can't add the bedliner/bed tiedown discount package? Nice. Would be awesome if Ford would just discount it for us.

The Ford Maverick has made the whole vehicle buying process seem like a joke. No offense to the dealership employees and salesmen in the forum. But I'm wondering why I should be paying a premium on a vehicle and also have to do all the research and communication to make sure I get my vehicle. Shout out to all of the outstanding salesmen who do all of this work for their customer - but I've been forced to tell mine everything that's going on.
lol, check it out, this guy thinks he's paying a premium

EDIT: unless they're charging you a huge markup, most dealers are making about $500 on new Mav orders. Hence why they have no qualms about slapping "market adjustments" on the gifts from heaven that they receive in the form of unclaimed orders.

Obviously not premium as in luxury. I mean an extra couple thousand to pay the dealership.

Where did you get the private offer? I haven't received one for my rollover order. I asked my dealer and they said they would "adjust" my order to reflect without specifying any dollar amount. Based on what the two Ford guys who provide info to the Maverick groups say, we should get $2750 off our roll over prices. I know nothing of an expiration, but then again, I have nothing in writing. I agree, this has turned into a $hit show.
You need to proactively contact Ford customer service to get the certificate number. They will not reach out to you about it. I called CS to ask if it could be applied to the order and they said I need to reach out to my dealer to attach it.

I mean you can try. The spray in can be done whenever you get the truck ….the tie downs are nice though …… you have little bit time … not much though
I sent a note to my salesman with the memo attached. Told him absolutely did not want to impact being schedule. He responded right away he is checking. Luis at Mac Haik in Houston has been good to work with. Also asked them how much they would charge for the spray in through them. Curious what the increase is, I know I can install the rails but to buy is like $280.

Rule of thumb is once scheduled, no changes. But we have heard at times some things can be. Also heard it's a risk. If you're scheduled, clearly they don't want to be switching out major things like Lux or 360. Maybe they can do the SIBL and rails. Once the window sticker is done don't think any changes can happen though as that's what is going into it.

As for the process... you're not paying a premium. That's the point, you are getting it for MSRP while the market is dictating others pay more. That's the trade off. Now should you get it for under MSRP? Well that's where capitalism and supply/demand come in. Again, Ford is basically leveraging dealers to sell you custom orders for MSRP which is actually below market for a Maverick. It's in my opinion a good trade off to get exactly what I want for less than what I may have paid for "close to what I want". But I also have to wait for it and do some leg work...

That shouldn't be the case. Most dealers do tack on a little bit of extra to try to make it profitable for them to sell cars, but usually those packages include undercarriage/theft protection/etc, so that's still product you're receiving. See my comment above - most dealers actually make very little on Mavs. I imagine they see mavericks as a chore considering we call so much about them lol

You could use your ford points for spray in should take care it … rail installation won’t be too bad .

Anybody have any luck getting the SIBL + Cargo discount added to their existing order? I asked my dealer and they said since I have a production date scheduled for early January that they can’t update my order (no window sticker created yet). 😡. Anyone else have any success with this? Or any way of getting a change after a production date has been scheduled?
No luck here either. No window sticker and mine is supposedly being built next week. My backup plan was trying to get the cargo mgmt system for alleged $225 build price ($400 on ford accessories), but so far nobody at Ford CS has been helpful. Guess I’m paying $1000 aftermarket and self-installing a $495 package…

Awesome. I have been talking to CS, but each one has a different answer. They all told me to call my dealer. I know now to ask for the certificate #! Great info. Good luck on your order!

Agree 100%, didn't mean for my post to sound like I was hating on the dealers for not knowing anything. I did think they made more than that though, that makes me feel worse about annoying the hell out of my salesman - but I have to lol. The dealer system is failing super hard with the Maverick.

Not disagreeing, but this also ignores the often dealt wild cards. Heck, dealer by me has 5 allocations for the year, and 5 orders, and 4/5 have been scheduled/built, 3 of those 4 being XL Hyb. And other dealer close to us has 4 allocations, 4 orders (3 hybrid), and all 4 have been scheduled. So yeah, in general, across the board, your advice is good. But there is a lot of real world evidence showing that in spite of all of the common sense predictions and speculation, that anything can happen.
Thought the 5 allocation is for the 60% and the other 40% is time on the lot so your dealer may get additional allocations. @fordvideoguy did a youtube on this and while things change perhaps can chime in.

If a private offer exists (which it should by now if you meet the criteria), Ford CS is 100% the place to obtain it. The dealer will have no idea. I’ve had mine since 9/13.

Premium may have been the wrong word, I just meant there's money to pay a dealer included in the price and the dealer feels pretty pointless (not their fault, Ford has made this process hell).

Also just learned that the dealer's aren't making much money at off the Mavs. Which makes me think it's a waste of time for them too.

Basically Ford just needs to get their sh-t together. Just venting and tired of all the changes and annoying my salesman.

It's a hybrid or a no go for me. I already have a hybrid, want to purchase another, but I will not switch to Ecoboost. Bottom line is I am all in for a hybrid if they cannot build it it is their loss not mine. The Ranger redesign next year has my attention and there are other options out there not necessarily in a small truck. So, we shall see!

I'm not going to add anything. The bed liner and cargo system I'll take care of after the truck is in my driveway.

I drive my XL FWD EB about 70 miles each day to and from work on rural county roads. I average between 30 and 33 MPG. Note the A/C alone cost about 2 MPG. I drive it in normal mode and not like a grandma so it can do better. I have seen averages of 34 MPG if I can keep my speed below 65. I have checked the math by hand and am usually within .5 MPG of the dash estimate.

Ordered a Hybrid Lariat in September. This makes me think that I might consider switching to the EB. I ordered the hybrid because I drive 3,000 miles a month for work and need something efficient. I can't afford to wait a year+. Probably 80/20 hwy/city. 30+ mpg on the highway would be a big upgrade from my 4Runner. I get 19 with a strong tailwind.
