Yes that could be, but the majority of those are now scheduled. So it brings up the question, are these total 23 order numbers or unscheduled order numbers?

I think the hybrid numbers going up is a function of the cancelled VINs. They added to the numbers.
There is no doubt that added to the problem. I think we previously estimated the re-VIN orders and Sept rollover orders made up the bulk of available 23my hybrid capacity, somewhere around 80%… Of course we don’t know for sure, but it was a reasonable estimate.

Wow this is incredibly timely! When I ordered my Lariat Tremor, I was talked out of the Spray In Bed Liner due to constraint concerns. I just saw yesterday it is no longer constrained, so reached out to my dealer to add it back but they said because I have a “scheduled date for production of week of Jan 2” no changes could be made. I had originally been told I could make a change up until it’s built, but now that they are offering the SIBL + Cargo Mount for the $495, I definitely plan on pushing back. Has anyone been successful making a change after being scheduled but before actually receiving a window sticker? Any recommendations on how I can get this accomplished and updated for my order?

Thanks to everyone for sharing your information!

I’m obviously glad it’s scheduled, but now I’m paying $495 for a spray in bedliner when everybody else can get the SIBL and cargo system for $495.
I'd pay $500 to have my production scheduled... You can't get the package for $495 if you don't get a truck.

I wish they had a "first available" choice. I don't have enough visibility into my current order status and likelihood to make an informed decision. This is nuts.

Some thoughts to consider:

For XLT EB and Lariat EB orders, you’re looking good! Your only concern is to be sure the dealer has enough allocations before the end of the model year.

For XLT hybrid and Lariat hybrid orders, you need to confirm you’re near the front of the line at your dealer and they have plenty of allocations. If not, it’s a low probability dice roll. Might consider a switch to EB if you are down in the list.

For XL EB orders, also need to confirm you’re near the front of the line at your dealer and they have plenty of allocations. If not, it’s a low probability dice roll. Might consider a switch to XLT EB If you are down in the list.

For XL hybrid orders, it’s a double hit, only 1 in 4 orders will get built. You need to be right at the front of the line at you dealer and they have plenty of allocations. Otherwise, best to consider a switch.

Of course the problem is it’s hard to know for sure where you are in the dealer order priority list and you never know for sure the dealer allocations as they will change, so still a bit of a crap shoot all round.

Gotta wonder if this means XLT and Lariat trims are more likely to be built over the XL when it comes to the hybrid engine.

Ford has updated their communication about Maverick builds and is giving dealers and customers a chance to change their options.

I got my hybrid last April after 8 months and in hindsight I was very fortunate. That being said, I would have never waited on an Ecoboost. It was always the standard hybrid that made this truck special to me.

It's somewhat amazing that Ford hasn't figured this out better a year later.

Wondering what anyone's thoughts are about adding the Copilot 360 to my XLT (and possibly Hybrid order)? It looks like the Copilot 360 is currently not constrained. My wife has the Copilot on her 2021 Ford Edge (which the Mav is replacing) and she likes it.

Also so the backup camera on her 21 Edge (which has sync 4) shows how close you are to an object when backing up via these little bars on the side and the system beeps the closer you get. Does the Mav have anything like this as part of it's backup camera? Or is that part of the Sync system?

I've said this before, but the 35% breakdown is still the highest of any model Ford has ever built. Given how far in advance supply chains are managed, it isn't surprising Ford is left scrambling. Hopefully, 2024 is better now that Ford has a better handle on things and the lithium shortage is ebbing.
