Thanks for the info. Do you have an opinion on the Tuxedo hard roll-up?
If you want to use a bed extender, that is the hard roll up to get.
But you have run your hand down the sides to seal the Velcro down; which you don’t have to do with the X4S

Here is the problem I had with my X4s

How was your problem resolved?

I bought the same cover as a black friday deal, but still waiting for my truck (planned build date of 1/3, so Feb if all goes well).

Perhaps I should open it up and inspect for issues.

Looks you got a defective one. Haven’t seen any others like that.

I tucked the front edge under the glass, had to slightly trim the top of the side rubber on one side (the peak in the middle of it). I added foam to front edge of rail, at bed, to get the back latches slightly closer to the tailgate; and back of rail closer to lead edge of tailgate.

Yes the cover was defective. BAK shipped another and its all good. Thanks for asking Mark! I have a lot of other Mav only videos on my channel that can help you.

I order
I am going to order a hard roll-up tonneau cover soon. Either the BAK Revolver 4 or the Tuxedo Sentry. I'd like everyone's opinion on here. Thanks.
I ordered the Tuxedo Sentry hard roll-up tonneau cover & also the Weather Tech mud flaps. Just installed today. Both look fantastic. I will take pictures after I wash it but I also got undercoating & spray in bed liner so have to wait a bit. The cover fit perfect, didn't need any shims & I have to recommend the Weather Tech mud flaps, they are computer molded to fit perfectly, like into a groove fit & look so great. Only $99 & way better than the Ford OEM ones. You'll be happy with both. 👌

I started with the Truxedo Pro X15, sent it back and got the X4S. Like it WAY better. Among other things, no more have to seal the Velcro down.
And I love being able to open and close my tailgate without touching the cover; which I had to with the X15.
Buffalo, NY here and was wondering how your X4S held up during the winter and if you had any issues with the rails freezing shut or other ice/snow issues? Thanks!

I park in it my garage, and mostly work from home. With the little snow we had, I never even had to brush it off. I also purposely planned to not open it when it has been freezing rain, because of the reported issues with the rails; plus do not want to risk tearing the seal at the gate.
I‘m not a ‘truck’ user, so don’t open it too often. I did open it the other day, but it was above freezing, it operated just fine.
Sorry I’m not of much help.
