Dealers can't set 02s, only Ford can, that means it's previewing for scheduling. 10 is the lowest a dealer can go.
Yes…..I know that! But if your dealer changes your order number Ford does not recognize your order a a canceled scheduled order. Then they don’t change your priority code to a 02. Then I get to watch all the other scheduled rollovers get scheduled while I sit here with my thumb up my ass!

People need to call these dealerships out by name.

Have you talked to your salesperson's manager? Maybe he can direct your salesperson.

Exactly correct. The folks who are not involved in the cancellation/reorder process completely miss the issue here and they just add confusion when they jump in with partial knowledge.

I see what you're saying, you're definitely correct that the order number shouldn't have changed.

Derek - regarding our issue with priority codes not being changed before the deadline, this is what Tim says...

The order will still be in there, they need to update the order and change the priority code from 99 to 10. They will probably need to reach out to their Inventory Specialist to get it changed to 02.

Thanks Catocene. So I contact my dealership's inventory specialist and they can get it changed? Thought Ford was the only one able to change to pc 2. Is that how your read it?

You would have to contact your dealer or go to the dealership and speak to your dealer. The best way to go about this would be to review your order and make sure everything is correct (Velocity Blue is no longer available so if that's the color you ordered, you'll have to pick another perhaps Atlas Blue. The lux package has been split up due to constraints. Spray in Bedliner, Cargo rail tie down system, and remote start are separate items now, IMO skip the SIBL and CRTDS and add the RS. Also, the Co-Pilot 360 package has been split too. There's the regular CP360 and there's a CP360 Assist, find out what those differences are at Ford.com. The good news is you can change anything on your order such as engines, trims, colors, and options IIRC) and ask them to change your PC99 to PC10 so you can hopefully get scheduled. Then ask them that since the November 30th deadline to switch PC codes has passed, could they reach out to their inventory specialist to expedite the process. Before you leave, get a copy of your order, it should be at PC10. Be nice, compliment their shoes, take half a dozen doughnuts, you'll be fine (hopefully).

The other way (which I don't recommend, but understand), is to kidnap their child until your order is changed to PC10....hella risky though, I strongly recommend Option #1 and are not responsible for any outcomes good, bad, or otherwise if you choose Option #2

There's only one option that I see having any real outcome. Thanks 😉 I'll document our interaction later in my manifesto. Its pronounced.. Mr. Knutz.. right?

My pc was already changed to 10, just after the deadline. I just want to make sure Ford doesn't pass me over thinking I am a new order. My neighbor has a Santa Cruz at the moment. Not as bad looking as I thought.

AFAIK, that process is reach out to the dealer, and get them to reach out to the Inventory Specialist to advise him/her of the situation, then ask for an update in 24-48 hours from your dealer provided they don't reach out to you first...

As far as the cute SC, I've been eyeing the Tacoma TRD Off-Road 6MT as a possible alternative. Higher cost, worse fuel economy, but legendary Toyota reliability and doesn't seem to be missing any parts like a leather-wrapped steering wheel or wifi hotspot modem

Thanks for the help. That's what I'll do. My salesman is going to owe me commission after this. I've done his job more than him. Other than printing off forms, this guy has been completely useless.

I agree on the Toyota too.

They have mine at priority 10 also. My dealer won’t do shit for me to get it to a 02 where it belongs. The dealer sucks….Ford sucks!
