I'd call Ford 800 number before deciding.

I just called an hour ago just ONLY to find out if my dealer I placed an order with, was actually placed. When the super nice Ford lady answered and I gave her all my info, she said OMG I've never seen this before. I'm think OH sh!t something is wrong. But it was the total opposite. I placed my order with my dealer 12/13/2021, it was accepted by Ford 12/16/2021. I already have a VIN#. :) She gave me Ford tracking website and the VIN #, I just looked and yup its on there. I was floored and she was super excited for me. She kept saying over and over "I've never seen this before". She also said to contact my dealer to get my build date. I realize its still a long wait probably April, but it was a stress relief just knowing.
Awesome! Ecoboost or hybrid?

You placed your order on 12/13/2021? It was my understanding Ford stopped taking orders for the 2022 model on 11/15/21. Lucky you!
I called and talked to plenty of Ford dealers, local and out of state trying to find one. Of course none had a any but they all said we'll order you one. So i contacted my two nearest dealers and they both said they weren't taking orders. Then i contacted one in Louisville and he placed my order. The next day my Ford dealer in my town called and said he could place my order. Told him i already have the day before.

Just found out that my hybrid order was never formally placed by the dealership! I placed the order and gave them a $500 deposit back in early August, but they never "finalized" it. Of course Ford won't take any more hybrid orders until next summer, so I am basically f**ked!
Considering my options:
1.) They'll give me my deposit back and I am back to square one.
2.) I can wait and see if a customer ends up canceling their hybrid order and I step in.
3.) I order with an ecoboost engine and they say they can get me a higher priority code.

I am kind of leaning toward #3. Obviously it's more $$$ and lower mpg, but need to calm down a bit before I decide.
Has anyone been unhappy with going with the ecoboost engine option? And did you upgrade to the AWD and do you think that is was worth the bang for the extra buck?

Had a call from my dealership saying ford couldn't build my truck with the hybrid as they were out of the engines I was very polite and agreeable on the phone with him. hung up called Ford marketing dept my truck was still on for a build and they expeditated the order told me not to change anything about and filed a complaint against dealer giving me the case number and stating they would be back in touch. This was not the guy I placed my order with but someone else from the dealer wanting me to come cancel my order guess he wanted it or ...? Ford of Dalton in Dalton Georgia was dealership but this was probably just a salesman's idea.

You should ask the salesman to send you an email telling you they are out of hybrid engines and you have to cancel your order. Tell him you need it to show your spouse to convince them to cancel the order. Also, if it's legal in your state, record such conversations so that he can't say you verbally told him you didn't want the truck.

Why? Because when someone gets caught doing something like this they often say that you must have misunderstood them and that they would never have told you something untrue like that.

If you have an order number, dealer code go to chat feature. Once chatting takes about 5 minutes to get an answer.

Hi There

About 2/3way down there chat feature.

Been there done that. I completed my online configuration: 2022 Maverick XL and was directed to go to the nearest dealer to complete verification and to work with the dealership Maverick specialist at the local dealer. He walked me through my order got a copy of my driving license, phone number, email address and a copy of my build July 27th 2021 (I also offered a $10,000 down payment) with all of that I thought it was ordered. I have not received any information from Ford. After 2 months I ask the dealership Maverick specialist about my order he said they did all of the paperwork that they are supposed to do but I never received a order, build, VIN, or dealer number.
When I call back the salesman said I will be the one to know first, they would not get a notification unless I told them. When I call Ford Maverick ordering they said they don't have any information. When I call the dealership manager and suggested maybe I should order another one. He told me not to order another one. I did not order one, so I'm stuck without a vehicle or any way of knowing if I will ever get a vehicle.

What's the best 800 number to call. I ordered an 2WD EB in July with 4K package. received a Ford email that 4k was back ordered. Then heard Ford was not building 2wd 4K tow and had dealer update order to AWD 4k FX4 Lariat in September. Still waiting, no updates and dealer tells me its ordered but no date. Luckily found an XLT EB AWD FX4 Velocity Blue no 4k and standard options and bought it over the phone last week. Picking up next week while I continue to wait for the Lariat. Good news , the XLT was $5k less - sticker at $30,450.
