I've tried to be clear: I love my truck and the color. I'm not complaining at all. It's just not the same "orange" that the Ford site said it would be.

And yes, I agree, it's yellow-orange or orange-yellow.

Yep, how Ford ever managed to make it look like that in their example photos I will never know. Fortunately for me, I like the real thing better. Otherwise I might have found it extremely irritating.

I joked about the color's visibility factor to my wife when I first saw it in person....but turns out it is totally true. Even in a sea of cars in a parking lot, you can pick it out in an instant. Safe to say we won't have to worry about forgetting where we parked ever again.

I have a metallic school bus yellow Maverick and I really love it! I saw yellow broncos on the street and found out that the color I wanted was called cyber orange. Sure it's not a pure yellow which does make it yellow orange, but it's yellow enough for me. The new Ford paint is so weak though, and the gray base coat that makes an appearance after freeway driving is such a stark contrast to the yellow, that I find myself using my touch up kit quite often. Love the color dislike the paint quality.

Car companies desperately need to embrace "fun" colors again. Love them or hate them, at least they make you feel some way about them. I think that Bolt looks great! My wife's Bolt EUV is Chevy's true blue color and it looks great as well. I switched my Maverick order to hot pepper red just to get a color I don't see on the road much; would love to see FMC bring eruption green over to the Maverick and introduce other strong colors like that.

My wife's Bolt EUV is Chevy's true blue color and it looks great as well. I agree, we need more bright, fun colors. Too many black, white, grays, silvers. My current car is red, because it was the only bright color available at the time unless I was willing to spend another 10K to get a more exclusive model in blue. The other color options white, silver, dark gray, midnight blue (practically black), and black.

Great job. I've been meaning to take similar photos ever since I received my Maverick back in February. Yet to accomplish it, so it is awesome to see someone else actually take the initiative.

And that was a part (emphasize "part") of my reasoning to get that color on my Maverick. I want it to stand out from the crowd. Easy to find in the parking lot is part of that, but also being visible in lots of different lighting conditions plays a part. But mainly, I just really love the color!

There's a Ranger on the corner a few blocks from me that is Cyber Orange. A school bus parks right next to that house between dropping off the elementary school route and running his high school route. That school bus is kind of a greenish yellow, and the colors are quite different. So I suspect it's more about what color your local school district specified for their buses... But around here, Cyber Orange is definitely NOT school bus yellow.
