This thread spurred ANOTHER check of availability and compatibility for Cragar Mags (believed to be Torq Thrust, could be wrong). No such luck, boxed out by spacing, offset or both. Ugh.

Until then, it’s 100% OEM with a vision of how the Cragars would look beneath Carbonized Gray.

My last few cars have been with really nice looking black wheels. I still love the look but this time I was needing a little old school white with chrome. Hope (at least a few you) like it. I love my little Maverick.

Hah! Guilty here as well, had a set of Cragar SS wheels on a prior car. Keystone wheels are timeless as well.



Unless you run them in the winter, and they use salt on the roads where you live. I've had chrome wheels (on prior cars, back in the day) eventually rust from exposure to road salt. No idea if modern chrome finish wheels have a clearcoat over them which would help protect them against it. I don't expect that they do.

They do have different means of finishing wheels to look like chrome which do not tarnish or oxidize(rust). I'm wheel aware of the rust/peeling chrome after exposure to winters in the rustbelt -- it's not a pretty sight.

Chrome against white looks great. But if you are really going to talk "old school" you need to be talking Crager S/S chrome.

Too bad they won't work for front wheel drive.

Chrome looks good too. I have seen some F150s with chrome spokes that are reminiscent of Cragar SS wheels.

Looks great. How do the 19" tires affect speedometer reading?

I have put on about 1,000 miles and so far no noticeable difference in MPG or speedometer readings. The 19’s with tires are within 1/4 inch in total height of the stock 17 inch wheels. They are 1/4 inch taller than the stock wheel. Stock depth were 65s and the 19’s are running 55s. Hope that helps.
