Ah-ha! So you know the secret handshake and the correct number of eye blinks to get your order moved up!I'm not that important...lol
I work at one of my local Ford dealers in my area in the parts department, been working in a Ford dealer for 26 years in various positions.
Nope, I actually only know like 3 of the 25-30 sales people we have at the dealer I work at, but I became buddies with a salesman at my sister store that use to sell accessories, he used to be a salesman where I currently work, so I went with him.Ah-ha! So you know the secret handshake and the correct number of eye blinks to get your order moved up!Hopefully, you won't have to wait too much longer!
Maybe that's ford's planA dealer allocation scheme based on prior month's sales of constrained vehicles is ridiculous. Ford can't deliver what the dealers (or their customers) order, so Ford penalizes that dealer with fewer allocations for the next month? Meanwhile, the dealer that wins the "constraint" lottery "sells" more vehicles, so they get more to sell next month?
Ford, wake up and smell the coffee! That scheme will cost you 1/2 your dealerships within a year.
Or just go with another Make/Model that doesn't screw over people who have waited.... and waited... and waited... And probably never looking at another Ford again. Thanks for answering. That does appear to be bizarre if I understand you correctly.
Bizarre in the sense that every potential buyer of the maverick would ask dealers in their surrounding areas "how many mavericks are going to be presented to Ford from your customers on opening day for orders?" The result would be: never purchase a maverick from any dealer having more then i.e. 15 cars. Go the dealership have the least orders being placed.
And at the same time, turning away potential retail buyers. I am a rollover 22 -> 23 hybrid xlt order and didn't get a build date while others with the same specs NEW orders are getting build date.Maybe that's ford's plan
There’s a Santa Cruz out there with your name on it!And at the same time, turning away potential retail buyers. I am a rollover 22 -> 23 hybrid xlt order and didn't get a build date while others with the same specs NEW orders are getting build date.
I have to say I am a little annoyed and probably will just let my order plays out but I don't think i will ever order another Ford again. If another car maker gets something together to compete against the Maverick in spec/performance/price, I will jump ship.
I'm June 21 order. The dealer I ordered from went out of business in August 22. Past my order over to another dealer. And at the same time, turning away potential retail buyers. There is a hybrid Santa Cruz somewhere? When did that happen? And around 25k?There’s a Santa Cruz out there with your name on it!
Ouch. I feel for you and I think you should get your truck before I get mine. Unfortunately Ford doesn't care for that as people who got their NEW orders in for 23 with the same specs as your order got a build date while you are still lingering in the queue somewhere.I'm June 21 order. The dealer I ordered from went out of business in August 22.
