Dropping 360 pilot for earlier production date?

Any insight appreciated regarding dropping 360 pilot for qiuicker production concerns ,delivery or is it worth the wait , or did you keep it

The 360 is very nice and may save my life. It was worth it to me.

But heck, I kept the splash guards, too.

Depends on if you need the truck right away. May speed up delivery. Or not. Remember these are 'constraints' not hard stops. They will build some with all options, just maybe not as many as we want.

I'm not dropping it and if that delays the truck so be it. I don't NEED it right now. To be honest if I needed a vehicle, I would just go buy something off the lot. Getting to work trumps everything else.

i wasn’t exactly sure what the 360 copilot was when I ordered my mav last fall. my
husband said I didn’t need it and he knows about cars. it was too late for me to add 360 to my truck by the time i looked up the features. i wish I could go back and add it but that clearly isn’t possible. i have considered selling my mav when it comes in and ordering a new one with 360 but the thought of going through this nightmare ordering situation again has pretty much put me off of that idea.

Personally, I would add the Co-Pilot360, for several reasons.

• Features such as the blind spot warning system can't be added after production, at least not easily or cheaply.
• It's better to have extra safety features than not have them.
• The extra safety features may get you discounts on your insurance rate, depending on your insurance.
• The extra safety features will increase the resale value of the truck when that time comes.

I'd get it. I'm all for all the safety you can get. It's also convenient, and as said may lower insurance.

I don't get taking features you really want off to get it faster. You're already waiting this long, when it comes it should have what you want. My thoughts were take off anything I could viably do myself or after market. So I dropped mud flaps, floor mats, bed liner, bed rails, tonneau cover. But I kept anything I really wanted and couldn't do after the fact. Moonroof, copilot 360 and assist, FX4. 4k also, but I guess you could do that yourself after but it would be a PITA, not registered in the VIN or on the door, and much more expensive.

As I've said in the past, they aren't constraints, they are FEATURES! I waited 10 months with Ford emails telling me to drop things, even had the regional manager saying "No way, no how" would I get my build in 22. Been sitting in my driveway for 4 days now.

AS to CP360, so far its been great. I've tried to run off the road and lane-keeping steers me back, wheel vibrates, etc. I like it. Depends on what you need/want, a basic truck, or a really nice ride. As my most recent vehicle was 10 years old, I hadn't experienced a lot of the new items. Didn't even have a video screen before. ACC is nice to have as well as BLIS.

If you can, my advice is to wait it out. Get the truck you want. If its a price issue, calculate how long you'll keep the Mav, and the daily cost of any extras will seem small probably.

I'm loving mine so far, well worth the wait for my added packages.

Don’t tell your hubby, but he was wrong. Some folks just resist technology that can save your life. There is a reason insurance companies give discounts for safety tech.

Well, I have two 2022 orders. One ordered 1/18, the other ordered 1/25. The 1/18 order has CP360 and the luxury package. The 1/25 order has neither, it had CP360 but I dropped it trying to get scheduled after Ford said that they wouldn't be scheduling anything else with a luxury package for production. I figured that meant my 1/18 order wasn't going to get scheduled and I wanted something for 2022 so I dropped CP360 from the 1/25 order. At that time neither was scheduled/no VINs.

Guess which one arrived at the dealer over the weekend and I am picking up tomorrow.

Yep, the one with CP360 and the luxury package. The 1/25 order is scheduled but still hasn't started production.

My take, don't drop anything, no matter what Ford says it is all a lottery.

I was not totally sure I needed CoPilot360, but after having it I would not have ordered a Maverick without CoPilot360. Will never have another car without 360.
