According to customer service hybrid transmissions are the current cause of the delay for production and all hybrids will be converted to MY23s. As usual specific info will follow. Watch for your email, even though I have never gotten an email from Ford.

That might actually be good news. I would have bet that the hybrid hold up would be batteries. Transmission supply just may improve long before EV and hybrid batteries ramp up. And for the million dollar question, why can’t Ford get transmissions?

Ford is building its own hybrid transmissions and they are behind.

Take anything from customer service with a grain of salt. They are not well informed (not really their fault) and the only information they have is what their computer tells them. Some of them do try and get additional information, but not all sources are equal.

Well that is a mystery considering Ford builds their engines and transmissions in house

Rare earth magnets in the motors that are in the transmission are in short supply.
