I'm not a huge fan of EV, and not a huge fan of All Things China, but I found this very interesting.

Nice review of what looks like a great truck.

I do wonder about reliability. But China's manufacturing is getting more solid every year. While I'm not a fan of China's political system, I can't say that I don't buy a LOT of other stuff from China...

Probably alright, and could do fine if it met our standards. Import restrictions would price it too high, probably over the Ridgeline pricing. EVs are cool but you wont see me in one until it has self charging capability, like a combo of small wind turbine and solar panels that can charge it. Also the batteries while they are meeting range requirements, need to be smaller(weight) and longer lived(age). Im not gonna drive a 6000lb vehicle with the capability of a 4000lb one. And even if self charging only gets you 5% a day, for people that only get gas once every couple weeks, that is right in line with only needing to charge it once a week. Even as a first step, sell teslas and lightnings with a $10k solar carport for people that own their own home. Not some entire house system just a easy install kit carport to protect and charge.

Yeah if you dont meet the goals, you just get dragged out of the meeting while the boss nods and smirks at you.

Not like you have a choice when 90% of everything seems to be made in China now.

Go for it,
Ever tried to buy spare parts for any Chinese equipment?
The words "spare parts supply chain" do not exist in mainland China vocabulary.

"We make cheaper by cut out very expensive in process quality checks"

Wechat is filled with Chinese EVs, including alot of China luxury BYD, catching fire parked & driving, Lithium-ion fires burning shops, apartments, parking lots, other cars, with an explosive heat at the temperature of magnesium fire - forget water, water will flash to steam violently & explosive.

Chinese private parking structures sre increasingly prohibiting EVs - China EVs save money on expensive fire-resistant battery casings & fire suppression & cooling systems

How much money you willing to save for wife & child burned to death in 2000F explosive Lithium ion fire?

That looks similar to a Maverick. China is scary innovative.

Ugly, as ell’
Betcha it’s hard to get parts for. And if it’s like everything else China puts out it sucks big time.
Think Hundai or Kia, China had sumthin to do with those.
I hope the Tariffs kill it.
Nuff said.

The Chinese demand for EV’s is huge. They do fine without selling to the USA.

Copying the shape of the Maverick instead of the Cyber Truck was a good move:)

Per google etc…

“By 2026, China is expected to sell more EVs annually than the US sells total vehicles.

China's dominance stems from factors like affordable models (many under $25,000), extensive charging infrastructure, and consistent government incentives, such as tax exemptions extended through 2027. In contrast, the US faces challenges including higher prices, tariffs on imports, and potential cuts to subsidies.“
