When I test drove a maverick lariat I noticed that the mirrors were lacking in size and visibility. I definitely see this being an issue for towing. Just seeing what mods people have done. Thanks!

I want to bump this thread up. I too would like larger mirrors. I can see the side lanes ok but can't see behind me very well when towing.

I would replace my side mirrors with a unit that has uninterrupted glass ( no "bubble") if it became available.

I like the mirrors and the bubble in the corner for normal driving. If I was towing something I'd get aftermarket mirrors that stuck out further.

Move to the 21st century and add a camera to the trailer.

Doesn't help you see the side of the trailer which is the point of the mirrors.
Great for seeing whats behind you though.

I guess you don't get the "bubble" when you have heated blindspot warning mirrors. I guess the "bubble" is your old school blind spot system?

I found these on etrailer I will use these until they make an oem replacement.
Ford should have included tow mirrors in the tow package, simply ignorant to leave them off.

Funny.
I purchased those exact mirrors in 2007 for my ESCAPE.

I still have one. One broke.
Kind of hate them.
Unexpectedly DIFFICULT to use.
Look silly. Though would not be used often. But getting a solid fit was a PiTA so it was no joy.

Agree. I find the bubble distracting.

If you don't have heated mirrors you could just order XL no CP360 mirrors. Those have no spotter.

Somebody please post photos of style with bubble. I have none. But I know you can buy self-adhesive ones cheaply at any auto parts store.

My Edge has the bubble. I never use it, just check my blind spot as you should anyway. I like the blind spot light because it'll catch your attention if someone moves into it after you checked it.

I'm glad there aren't tow mirrors, I wouldn't want them despite 4k. Most people won't tow enough to warrant them, and those that do will add.

Can you add mirrors with blinkers? That is one thing I do wish they had.
