Anyone who has waited four months has shown patience. Everyone past six months should be nominated for Sainthood. More than ten ? Schools and hospitals should be named after them. Even when I was a kid, a dinosaur saddle would arrive in six to eight weeks.

Can't a car carrier load up with other cars for more than one dealer. Of course they would have to be close to each other. Or even other makes.

Yea, I agree with you on this one...I placed my hybrid XLT order back on Oct 14 and I'm still waiting. From what I see on the Order Track app my hybrid is on a train for about 14 hours and enjoying the train ride.

My hybrid will get here when it gets here. I don't like the long wait either but there is a lot of things Ford or even other car companies can't control (labor & parts shortage)....I'm going to assume they would rather sell cars/trucks ASAP. In my opinion of course.

In ten days I will have waited a year. Order first confirmed on Oct. 26, 2021 but other than the canned emails from Ford, nothing. No VIN, no build date, nothing. Reordered as a 2023 and confirmed but back to waiting again. I wonder if I'll be writing this again this time next year. ☹

Central Florida here...ordered 10-23-21. Built Sept. 12, shipped Sept. 14, arrived Taft, FL (Orlando) yesterday. Need 8 vehicles to fill a car carrier to our dealer, so...likely today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
Hang in there guys!!! My lariat lux hybrid was ordered at dealer by me oct 15, the dealer actually placed the order oct 22, and I just picked it up on Saturday....exactly 365 days from sitting at the dealer
It is worth it, and is still 1000x better than buying off of a lot right now.

EVERYTHING IS OVER MSRP right now.

I do think the best thing I did was go to a huge volume dealer in chicago area(90 min from home). If I had ordered in my little home town I would never get it.

I hear you. Right now my Maverick is sitting in Memphis Tn. for the past 3 weeks, It was ordered Oct. 09, 2021. It's killing me that after a year of waiting for it to be built that now its sitting in some parking lot waiting for a transport to my dealer in Winchester, Tn. I hoping to get the phone call later this week!!

I ordered my XLT Hybrid Oct 29th of 2021. It was finally built the middle of Sept. 2022 and shipped fairly quickly. By rail it went from Mexico to Illinois(?). I live in South Georgia. From there, it went to Jacksonville Fl. by rail. Now for the last two weeks, it has been sitting in Jacksonville waiting for a transport.
This is the first new vehicle that I have ordered. So I have no prior experience to look back on. But this has been one process that I never intend to repeat. My hope is that the Maverick will prove to be well worth the wait. If I ever get it.
well worth the wait (oct 28 '21 order) I just received my pure base xl hybird and it is great to drive and everyone who's driven in it agrees that it's a great truck. getting better than advertised mileage and it has a great look, no problems at all. hang in there!

I too have been waiting for transport. Shipped from Mexico fairly quick to Kansas City and now going on two weeks it's still waiting on transport to my dealership that's only 2 1/2 hours away. The 21st will be 10 months from ordering. Had a tentative delivery date of Oct 6th - 12th from Ford. My dealer thought would be delivered this week. So will be surprised if it does come this week.

Why should Ford throw in free stuff due to things outside their control like supply chain shortages and delivery labor shortages?

There is plenty they have done poorly (see the order cataloge available hours ahead of bank opening or lack of clearly defined dates for ordering, etc). But they created a system for you to get the exact specs you want, ability to get updates relatively easily directly through them, price protection and shelter from ADM. Tradeoff is you have to wait. The buyer being tired of waiting isn't their problem...

There was a point in time (not long ago) that ordering something simple like steak knives from the TV took 8 weeks to deliver. A custom made car in a year doesn't seem crazy considering what is going on in the world. It takes me 64 weeks to get switchgear for a construction project now. Just be patient or buy off the lot for what you can get.
Just good faith. I was quoted an approximate delivery date and they missed it by 3 months. I have little to complain about with an 8 month delivery. There were 1000's of customers that traded in or sold their current vehicles to purchase a Maverick...

Ford shot themselves in the foot numerous times, as in 5,000+ Mavericks had to be tested if there were accidentally had holes drilled in a fuel line while installing SIBL, (sure it was sub'ed out but still Ford's responsibility, 1,000+ Mavericks with a defective display cable connection...both times assembly lines were shut down for days or weeks...running out of tires...those fall on Ford responsibility.

Chip shortages did cause delays...not the customer fault. I've ordered 3 other CUSTOM SPEC vehicles in the last 15 yrs and the worst delay took 4 months....and all 3 of those were across the Atlantic. Custom orders have been common place for 20 years. New models are not always easy the first year, but my custom ordered Mini-Cooper was a solid build with a 3 month build time, from ordered to delivery, including 15 days across the Atlantic.

I know multiple people on this board that have been borrowing vehicles from relatives, friends, ride sharing with wives, and several had to lease a vehicle due to the delay. I got the plastic FITS accessories package as a nice token for the 8 month delay due to SIBL delay. It was appreciated. Not suggesting Ford giving away the barn but Ford could show some good faith with something for people waiting a year.

BTW - Love the Maverick, no complains there, just feel for those who waited in limbo for 9, 10, 13 months.

Ordered mine 10-20-21 and still waiting.
Finally have VIN number with 11-14 est production date. Doubtful I will ever see it, probably will be cancelled if ford plans on building 23 by December. Have another 23 on order. 🤷‍♂️

I told my ordering dealer that id go to port and pick it up myself if it meant cutting down a significant amount of time.. guess port pickups are a thing of the past  😭
