I installed a Ford Tri-Fold soft bed cover. The seals look good however it leaks in the two forward corners. It looks like a waterfall coming in. There is the plastic trim and a weld locking the bed to the cab. It appears the water comes in under the plastic trim and runs into the bed. if I get caught in a rain I feel this top is useless. I am thinking about taking it back to ford and trying something else. Has anyone else had this issue.

Thanks

what did you do behind the rear window where the body seam is. I put some A/C gap filler and it did stop the water. I will take some pictures in the morning and post them. I used foam house insulated and that worked where yours is. Thanks

Your trifold does not look as the OEM Ford soft trifold bed cover. The OEM Ford soft trifold looks like this:

can you take two photos. 1. The rear gap on the tail gate. 2 the gap behind the rear window. I think I may have it too far toward. Thanks

Your trifold does not look as the OEM Ford soft trifold bed cover. The OEM Ford soft trifold looks like this:

I have tried several sealers and relocation of the cover. The problem is a gap in the corner of the bed is welded and the black vertical trim on the back of the cab. Is your cover against the rear window. If not haw far off the glass. Have you put water and the glass with the tail gate open to see if water runs down the corners. I feel the problem with mine is the trim gap and the weld Gap. If you can help me with the dimension I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I insist that your picture does NOT show a OEM Ford soft trifold cover.
Your cover seems to be a hard trifold. cover. If your cover is a Ford product, I suggest to check this with your dealer.
Good luck, and enjoy your Mav.

Get some of the foam 3M with the adhesive if you want it mostly water proof. I added some to the tailgate with good success.

It is a Ford OEM with the Ford Logo embossed in it. It is a Soft Tri Fold. I have resolved my self to the leak. All the solutions look to me can trap water. I would rather have the water come in to the bed and drain out rather than be trapped and cause rust.
