Just curious if that is a very old pic ? Or a really nice restore ? If someone had one that clean, and factory original today, I'm sure they could get WAAY more for it than they paid back then :)
The Maverick as it was in 2010, with a fresh coat of Meguiar’s cleaning wax and highlighting two original ouch dents. First one on the hood at the very front and #2 on passenger door..... “installed” by the original owner a 92 year sweetheart Grandma. Garaged all it’s life, no rust, and the original vinyl roof had no issues! Thankfully still remains the same.
Enjoy✔🇺🇸
Can’t wait for the new Ford Maverick to join it as a stablemate......

My 1st wife had a Grabber Green one, that had a V-8 swapped in place of the original 6. I should have paid better attention to the signs,,,,

HRG
You gotta love that insight my friend...... Thanks.
No swapping here... 6 cylinder, and automatic.
Hopefully if there is a number 2, all went well. ✔

Which state do you think will be the first state for the very first retail delivery of a new Ford Maverick?
This could be interesting since the trucks will be coming up from Mexico.......✔

I did not have a Maverick, but my grandma did. She was t-boned in it and never drove again, but a friend of my dads had it restored and all three of his daughters drove it for years (until the nineties). Spent a lot of time in that car.
Similarly, I did work in a shop for about ten years that restored nothing but Falcons. Had five of them (still have two) and daily drove one for about ten years (right up until I really got too old to live w/o AC- sold it and bought an early Focus).
Now to find a Ford Has A Better Idea plate for the truck.

This will be my first Ford Maverick.
My first Ford was an ‘86 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe in 1998 and my last was a ‘94 Thunderbird Super Coupe in 2004.

I had a 1972 Maverick 2-Door with 302 V8 and three-speed manual transmission. Its was very fast and a sleeper with stock exhaust. It was a tough car - I was hard on it but it never let me down.

No Mavericks here. First car was a ‘66 Mustang - red with factory air, 3 speed, straight six. Might have been outrun by an arthritic octogenarian with a walker. Family had 3 or four Pintos and then a variety of fox body products. Mom married a GM man in the mid 80’s so the next Ford I got in the family was my wife’s ‘14 Navigator.

First Maverick, 4th truck.
Could have bought one from
neighbors, years ago. Ugly yellow, needing body work.
For a whopping $400.
Wasn’t earning enough money then, to be able to do any sort of restoration work on it.

As a MAVERICK owner myself, I am curious if folks have owned a Maverick in the past or still own one currently? ;)

My first car looked just like that. 1970 Maverick in red with a white vinyl top! Bought it for $600 in 1975...summer between my junior and senior years in high school. Your car looks great! Thanks for the memories.

Good to hear from you and your Maverick memory. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully we will have a new Maverick
in the garage to spark more memories ✔

Classic line about your pony and the walker sprinting ahead of your 6 cylinder......! Are you a candidate for the 2.0 Eco boost this time around ?😂
All the best to you ✔🇺🇸

Almost but decided to go with the hybrid because my youngest will be learning to drive on it and probably take it to college. Went with the hybrid for the gas mileage.

I have always wanted a Maverick Grabber 70-73 little bumper, light weight and small block. In the past they were not worth enough to put a bunch of money in but their prices have went way up. Maybe after I get the truck I will finally buy one.

Nice to see the first deliveries of the new Maverick to many folks. For so many there true first Maverick. Surprised in a way to read that some have ordeed two vehicles already.
Must be nice as I only need one and it’s a Hybrid so it will be a while longer....... ✔🇺🇸
I will just continue to drive ole’ red the original ‘71.
