Also don't forget, paying the locksmith to come out to a remote location to cut you a new key and chip it.....happened to a buddy of mine while we were out riding in the El Centro deserts. Just under a grand after almost 8 hours.Replacing a key is roughly 2% the cost of the entire Maverick.
A little common sense goes along way here. Instances where carrying the key works and others where it doesnt.
