My mav arrived there yesterday, hoping the handoff between carriers is quick & it gets hooked to a VA-bound train soon. Current ETA to dealer is 10/21-30.

Check your truck completely when it arrives. After spending time in East St. Louis it is likely to arrive with a serious drug problem, several outstanding warrants, and some past due child support.

Reading this thread has convinced me that Ford has to do some work on re-engineering the final delivery to dealers part of its supply chain.

Each of us is paying $1,495 for destination and delivery. In the old days this might have cost $500. Many of us, if not all of us, are not getting good value for our money.

Come on, Ford. You can do much better. There are obvious problems.

I hereby volunteer to provide free consulting services to Ford to analyze its delivery processes from the factory in Mexico to its dealers in the U.S. and to oversee needed changes. I would just like to have my travel expenses covered. I am retired, so I have the time.

This is a serious offer. I expect a reply from Ford. This website has my email.

Also, would love to see the transparent reporting. Would go a long way with Ford's communications with customers to take this approach on other issues.

My truck sat for 2 weeks in a railyard near my dealer before being delivered. Maybe it was in rehab?

It hasn't moved for a week. Ford chat gave me a rail car number linked to NS Norfolk. Called the number and it said 'null'. Anyone else in the same boat?

Could you share the rail car number. Mine has been there as well since last chat with Ford on Oct 1st.
