Just wanted to provide an update with my order placed Sept 20th. I called my dealer to check to make sure he submitted COVP order including signed buyer's agreement and driver's license to Ford. He confirmed he did and the order was 'verified' 2 days after entering the order. I understand this means the order is verified as a legit customer order. So the next step will be scheduling and I will contact the dealer Oct 6th to see if it has been scheduled.

So if you haven't checked with your dealer, after the 'in processing' status in Ford canada, aks your dealer to check that the order has been 'verified'.
Hey Tdot, did you ever check in again with Ford customer care to see if the status changed from "In Processing" to "Unscheduled-Clean" like it does (I think) in the states?

My dealer (Brown Brothers Ford in Vancouver) still hasn’t confirmed they have even resubmitted my order from Oct 2021. A bunch of you guys got them in two weeks ago, then they told me they were submitting this week, and crickets since. 🦗 It really sucks that I don’t ever hear anything proactive from them, they clearly don’t care.
Wow, sorry to hear that. I'm glad I decided to not go with Brown Bros. - Coastal Burnaby has been very responsive - I talked to a sales manager they day after I ordered, and they immediately confirmed that they had submitted, sent me a copy of it, and gave me an order number I was able to verify with Ford Canada.

Yes I have contacted the chat function on Ford and up until Friday last week it still says 'in processing'. I will contact my dealer this Thursday Oct 5th to check status again.

Yeah you made the right call. I stopped by Coastal about 6 months into my order wait, they seemed sharper. So far my guys have been cordial but very vague. I wish they could offer me a more modernized experience. Good luck on your process!

Well unfortunately you guys are correct. Just came from my dealer , $3,500 dollar price increase . No guaranty of ever getting any price protection , no guaranty of getting my truck built in 2023. Was not allowed to use X plan, as he said that would only make matters worse . I can not express my disappointment with Ford and my dealer .

Same boat as Richard. Just signed my new agreement for a Lariat Lux 4k Ecoboost with both CoPilot 360 packages... Very disappointed. Total was $3,600 more than original order and worse financing to top it off. The truck is identical to the original order other than the colour (was Velocity Blue and is now Atlas Blue) and I took off the bed rails because they wanted an extra $500 for them. I was never keen on them anyway.

The last new Ford I purchased was a 2019 F250 ,MSRP $54,000. Ford is always asking me to participate in Surveys on how they are doing . I simply can not understand how Ford is just sitting back and watching this level of brand damage take place .

I’m starting to lose faith in this process, I wonder if the dealers are being left hung out by Ford Canada. Was stoked about finally owning a new vehicle but you guys/gals have me rattled. 😳

Keep the faith Maguffin! :)

When I spoke with the service representative at Ford Canada he told me that our orders were different then the American orders. (How different, I have no idea?)
But I was told too call back again in mid November and I could learn more about my order. This is what's keeping me going.

So... I'm 90% sure I'm going to cancel the Maverick order. When all is said and done, with $15k down the 2023 model comes out to $7,800 more than the 2022 for the Eco Lariat Lux 4k Tow with CoPilot. The truck was designed and built inexpensively using lots of stamped steel and cost cutting anywhere they could. At around $50k I could live with it but now its at $61k (with financing cost) and for that much money I can get an Outback Wilderness, Chevy Colorado, or even a well spec'd XLT Ranger. As much as I want the Maverick, I don't think I could live with that much of an increase. I'm so frustrated with the situation.

I'm in this boat too. I am buying the Mav because I want a 'do everything' vehicle that is good on gas. Being frustrated with the process, price increases and wait times, I started cross shopping, and let me tell you... the argument for a small SUV that is PHEV is pretty appealing.

I test drove the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson and Toyota Rav4 and their PHEVs would run (cost wise) about the same as my XLT Mav after accessories and govt incentive. Part of the original reason I wanted a maverick was for hauling my dirtbike around, but I can live with a little foldable trailer if I need to. Between the Mav and the korean SUVs, I'm just leaving so much on the table:
  • Way more tech and gadgets in the SUVs
  • All electric range - I work from home and 80% of my driving on a weekly basis is within 40km of my house (never need gas!)
  • WAY more comfortable interior overall
  • More space in the back seats, and they recline!
  • Don't need to give up AWD to have a hybrid.
The list really goes on and on for me. I'm keeping my Mav order for now, and might just see which vehicle comes in first, but I am leaning on cancelling. As someone who just doesn't actually need a truck, this process has been painful and I just can't ignore all the wins for going with an SUV instead.

Canada Order w VIN and scheduled production date
I originally placed my Eco Lariat in Dec 2021. That truck never got scheduled. Put in the order for FY23 when the Canadian Order Bank opened. Just received confirmation that I have a VIN and a scheduled production week of Nov 28.

Came as a complete shock
