What the heck is a $79.92 Fuel Charge? Are they charging you to get a full tank of gas???

Ordered on the 19th, then went in on the 21st and made some changes (Dropped Lux package)

I asked my dealer how they are handling the priority codes. He said all new orders they are putting in as 19.

What the heck is a $79.92 Fuel Charge? Are they charging you to get a full tank of gas???

1) That's part of the dealer invoice side, not added onto your MSRP (directly)
2) MSRP includes a full tank of gas, of course you're paying for that first tank of gas so you should be getting it. Everyone surprised that they got the vehicle with a full tank shouldn't be; you're getting what you paid for.

I have since added sliding rear window and a dash cam since I ordered. I'm sure some of the stuff in here will delay me but if I'm ordering a new rig I want what I want.

Interesting to note what was originally promoted as a $20k truck is now a mid $30k truck for most people. (mine too)

The Maverick has definitely become a profitable vehicle for Ford, contrary to earlier beliefs.

Unfortunately the way the world is now it's still my cheapest option for a replacement pickup. I almost traded my '11 half ton in on a 3/4 ton about 5 years ago. Sticker price on the 3/4 ton was $32k. Now 1/2 tons are well above that. My current 1/2 ton just hit 235k miles and is starting to need a few repairs. To order an identical new version today would be around $55k. I figured I'd get a Maverick as my everyday rig, and only use the 1/2 ton when I need to haul bigger loads. Save wearing out what would require nearly $60k to replace. It does suck to be in the low $30's for a little beater rig but it still beats the alternative for me. I do agree though, the $20k initial price got me in the door. The rest is my own fault.

Used to. Removed for 2023 to reduce the delay it was causing.

Also, I've seen plenty of videos where the factory liner isn't wonderful. Better to skip it and spring for Line-X.
