22 price protection

I ordered a awd Lariat Lux on Dec 26th the day before the price increase for the package. Is this actually price protected? Another poster here looked it up in smart Vincent and it did show being protected on the financing but showed nothing on price protection. Or am I at the mercy of the dealer. Thanks

Purchase price protection isn't actually done through Smart Vincent, IIRC, just incentives and financing.

Yes. I joined after ordering and was able to get the Farm Bureau discount. Although did you join in 2021 or sometime in 2022? I believe it's trickier to claim if you joined in '22 and trying to use it in conjunction with the old Ford financing rates.

I have Farm Bureau and have a certificate that says you have to be a member for 30 consecutive days prior to redemption. Hopefully I get to use the certificate that expires in January. My FE is supposed to be delivered between 07 and 13 October.

They way I understand it that is just for financing rates.

All dealers are aware of price protection though some will claim ignorance and comply when the consumer provides the details.

Some dealers will honor this on their own, as is Ford's intent and some will not regardless of what the consumer states or provides. And there's nothing a consumer can really do with the latter other than walk. I'm close to going thru this myself and I do not plan to walk; I've waited too long.

We're lucky if the dealer honors the agreed price (not adding ADM) in today's dog eat dog world...
