Production build week delay: my order got pushed from 10/4 to 10/11

I received a second order confirmation email from Ford after I changed some things. After the whole FWD 4K towing debacle I texted my dealer and switched to AWD and while I was at it I added Copilot360.
Those were the only two changes I made.

Shortly after I signed the second Dora at the dealership(maybe 30 minutes)I got the second email from Ford. My original order was on 6/23 and my order change was on 8/19. Even though I received a second order confirmation from Ford BOTH Dora's have the same order number. So I know my dealer just didn't cancel my first order or just create a new one for me and keep my first one for a stock unit.

Had he changed your order# it would have been placed with that date of orders.

Yep I agree. That's why before I went to sign the second Dora I made a mental note of the order number on the first one to make sure they were the same. If they didn't match I would have brought it up but they did so nothing to worry about.

Turns out it doesn't look like it will matter much anyway. The constrained items for this weeks scheduling hit my build below the belt........

Ordered July 1st. Hybrid Lariat Lux. From what I am hearing I have resigned myself to not expecting it before 2022.

LIkewise, I ordered on July 20. I am happy with spring 2022.

It appears that the Lux packages are legitimate commodities at the moment. You'll have some nicer stuff inside, of course, but it's going to take a little while longer for you to get your truck.

Also I assume that 10/4 is going to be a hybrid build week and 10/11 is going to have hybrid and 2.0s.

Ahh yeah - I think I was too general - I think the vast majority of the 10/4 production will be hybrid and then the opposite for the 2.0, though that's just from seeing what has been moved from 10/4.

Obviously, I have absolutely no idea haha.

Do they have the production of Hybrid transmissions up to speed yet? That was an issue a few weks ago.

Ford wasn’t too happy with the leaks so Bob hasn’t been able to gives updates.

Serious question to everyone worrying about build dates...did your dealer not tell you up front it was going to be a long wait? Mine told me straight up, July order, I may not see it till next spring, That was before I ordered it.

Mine did not tell me, but I went into it knowing they has 39,000 orders the first week. I only learned about the Maverick on July 19th and I ordered July 20.
