You can just add oem later. It's easier and better because it will auto control your climate settings. Also you can get a single oem fob vs a aftermarket extra one dangling.

As mentioned the Perimeter Security System that can be ordered from Ford Parts is able to be configured to function as a remote start add-on.

Ford definitely knows how to put my nuts in a vice grip here.

I just want an XL with ACC, but they're gunna nut crunch like 10K out of my wallet on this Lariat/Lux/new ACC requirement.

Damn I hope they buy me dinner at least.

If I had all the safety stuff you're looking for on my 22 xlt, I'd let you have it for free. Just more electronic stuff to fail in the future which will cost plenty to fix out of warranty.

Doesn't help much I know but maybe check out this thread to add cruise control using factory switches. Little bit of money and work but worth it IMO.

Oh, and I should also add that you'll be able to lock in financing at a lower rate unlike the rollovers.
