Does the console top slide forward? If seated close to steering wheel, console usable for arm rest?

I know it sounds a little crazy, but I would honestly not consider purchasing it if my right elbow doesn't have something to rest on while driving.

I was taught to drive keeping both hands on the wheel, at 10 & 2 O'clock positions for maximum control and safety. Anybody do that anymore?
10 and 2 is no longer encouraged because of the airbags. 9 and 3 are the recommended positions so that your hands fly to the side and not up towards your face. I learned this from "BRAKES" (https://putonthebrakes.org/about) when I took my son. Anyone with a teen absolutely should try to get into this course if you are lucky. The kids actually learn defensive driving techniques (like putting the car into a 540 spin and teaching them how to drive out of it safely)

Also, I bet 9 out of 10 folks in this forum are "adjusting their sideview mirrors incorrectly". It's insane how you can get a full 180 out the back when you set them up properly.

Only when my 15 year old granddaughter is in the car...she frequently reminds me "10 and 2, Mimi"...lol

10 & 2 are not recommended with steering wheel air bag. You could end up punching yourself in the face in an accident.

now they teach you to hold the wheel at 8 and 4 so your arms don't get blasted by the airbag

It's really strange when you first do it right but you don't have to crane your neck to check your blind spot when you change lanes if you do it.

I'm sorry, that option will require you to upgrade to the lariat luxury+ package. Release date 2023, but possibly delayed due to commodity designation till 2024.

Suppose you'll have to sit in one and find out. I've never heard of someone sitting so close to the steering wheel that you needed adjustable console. Are you just very short?

wouldn't be the 1st time punching myself in the face  Once when I was a teenager I was having a tug of war with a friend over a small sledge hammer. I was winning... until he decided to just let go. Luckily I turned my head in time and it only grazed my eye brow. 🤪
