Got to admit, it’s like they really concentrated on the front and side views and ran out of steam and spend the last few seconds on the hitch and back bumper in a rush to finish on time.
It just screams unfinished and last minute.

This is what I did with the dead space. Don't think I'll use the seven pin connector much. but if I do I can just remove the plate temporarily.

So you want it to look like this?

It does clean things up but if you use the receiver where do you hook the safety chains and plug in the trailer wiring harness or will it be removable every time you want to tow?

See where the bumper is cut out.i think if you dont get a hitch that whole area, including what you dont see on the other side of the hitch, would have a plastic piece to cover the hole where the hitch would have come through.i want too fill that in,cut out for the hitch, just to clean it up.maybe i can get a cover in parts and just use that, which is fine.

It looks like there are tabs around the opening in the bumper to accommodate a snap-in plate. Does Ford offer one, otherwise why are the tabs there? Good luck.

you need to leave wiring for trailer accessible someplace too.

NZ6Z17F000AA is the cover part number. I cut a slot for the hitch and then a hole for the harness connector. The cover snaps in and also has holes for two screws where it sits against the bumper cover. I just used small black zip ties there. Did have to remove a handful of screws to loosen the bumper cover and you really have to wiggle and flex the cover into place. But well worth doing.
