You guys are all great! I have enjoyed and learned a lot from reading all of the posts. After a couple of days to reply to anyone that posts on this thread I will unsubscribe as my saga with my Maverick has ended. My purchase deal was unwound and I purchased a completely different vehicle.
Note that I am not trashing Mavericks, I just think I got a lemon. Had it been possible to get another Maverick Hybrid, that is what I would have done! As we all know, there are none out there. It was an XL and I had really wanted a Lariet, but that is not why I returned my Maverick.
For the 2nd time in 6 months, a battery harness failed and a main fuse to the power supply was blown. While I owned the truck for 21 days, it left me stranded and 18 of the days were spent with the truck in the shop. Such is why 'Lemon Laws' have been enacted. If it is resold, a buyer must be informed of the service history.
I think the issue was manufacturing, but I don't know and am out of the loop regarding correspondence about the vehicle. Regardless I had no trust in the truck. Ford & the dealership treated me well. I am satisfied with my new deal. Remember, in buying used... "buyer beware" especially in states with weak "Lemon Laws".
As stated, I will answer questions as best I can for a couple of days then unsubscribe as I no longer own a Maverick. I'm ot a Mechanic, Engineer, or that knowledgable about the workings of a vehicle but understanding is, the vehicle will be returned to a corperate facility for diagnosis. It is a 2021 Maverick Hybrid XL.
I wish everyone nothing but enjoyment and safe travels with their Maverick!
