When running the truck after a 9 day sit, it was only giving 7 amps to a very low 12 volt battery

After an hour of driving, it basically was only trickle charging at 1 amp. After 90 minutes the 12 volt only came up to 59% and I had no further time to charge. It will sit limbo-land in the 55% to 65% charged range indefinitely with 75 to 90 minutes of drive daily.

I say "giving" the battery 1 amp.

But is the "system" giving 1 amp?
Or is the battery only taking 1 amp?

I think the second. It is a crappy 12 volt battery.

When put on shore power with a 6 amp wall charger, it still only draws 1 amp or less. Yet next morning, 12.1 or 12.2 volts.
🤷🏻‍♂️
