Anyone else keep bouncing back and forth on what trim to get? I thought I had it figured out!

I originally ordered the XL, then upped to XLT primarily for the wheels, locking tailgate, and cruise. Before I got scheduled last month, I was considering going up to the Lariat for 23, or alternatively going back down to the XL and getting Katzkin leather seats…

I could talk myself into any of the trims, but I’ll be happy with my XLT when it comes.

I got my Hybrid XL in March. Ordered with the Co-pilot360 not only for safety but for the power mirrors. Changed the original steering wheel control switches with ones with cruise control, got a Forscan adaptor and programmed so now I have CC. Next I got a power tail gate lock assembly and the wire harness so now I have a power tail gate lock. Cheap "Spider" hub caps for $50. Couldn't be happier and without all the orange trim.

I was pretty solidly in the xlt camp except for the clothe seats. There were other features I liked about the lariat, but the clothe seats were the ultimate deal breaker for me. Sure, seat covers would work but why buy a brand new vehicle and immediately cover it up because you didn't like it?

I'm trying to decide between an XL with the 4k tow, and the New XLT with the Tremor/4k Tow

It would be $26k vs $32k

I want the tremor but honestly I could get by with just a XL

I don't know what to do :(

It doesn’t appear that you can get 4K tow with tremor package (article says max tow of 2k)

For me I knew it would be a hybrid. In fact had the Maverick not come in a hybrid I would not have purchased one. The only question I had was did Iwant the XLT Lux or Lariat Lux. There are several stories out there that suggest a lux XLT is the sweet spot. That said, I still went with a Lariat Lux. The closest thing I can come to a complaint is there are some options I would like to have had that were not offered; such as cooled seats, powered passenger side seats. The safety stuff is really great, Lane assist, adaptive cruise control etc, I highly recommend it. I have had and I still have some fun cool interesting cars.... and I love love Love the Maverick hybrid.
Does your seat get hot in the summer?

I have an XLT Lux on order. For just under $30k MSRP you can't beat the heated steering wheel/seats, cruise control, bed liner, rear 110v plug, bed rails and D rings, etc. Mine is ordered as a FWD with the ecoboost. I optioned Cp 360, moonroof, and the optional (upcharge) Alto Blue. It'll be plenty for my needs and wants. I can live without leather and push button start for an extra few thousand saved.

Not really.

As much as I want the Lariat Lux for the adaptive cruise control, I can't justify the extra $9,365 more (MSRP, before taxes) than the base XL with CP360, the hitch receiver, and the 400 watt power inverter.

On some vehicles, that might be less of a sting, but on a truck like this, that's a good 40% of the base price, just to step up a little bit. And you still get an outdated version of SYNC, the upgraded radio is mid-level at best, etc.

There are ways to eventually add the adaptive cruise, covered here on the forum, at a cost of maybe $700 plus time and effort doing the installation yourself.

Many other things can similarly be added after the fact, and for a lot less than the cost of the Lariat lux package upcharge.

Plus, among the interior color choices, I prefer the XL color scheme, and I like the XL's base steel wheels too.

I was all set to keep my XL for at least 3 years before trading it for a new XLT. Then the Tremor was announced and blew that all to hell. I will be ordering an XLT W/Tremor package in Atlas Blue. That's the plan anyway, and we all know what they say about making plans (God's probably ROTFL right now).

I went with the xlt luxe package, I'm glad I did, I couldn't get past the "orangy" leather in the lariat. This has everything we need. The only thing I would change is I should have gotten the sliding rear window. Got mine in May still kicking myself.

The Tremor does not support 4k tow, only 2000lb tow.

I guess it's all about your preferences, budget, and what you can and can't live without. In my case, since I've finally reached the point in my life where I can get what I want and damn the budget, my Maverick pretty closely reflects my exact preferences. I say "pretty closely" because some configurations simply weren't possible. For instance, I really wanted the adaptive cruise, but because I can't abide leather seats, and don't care at all for the Lariat interior in general, I had to let it go. Push button start doesn't matter a damn to me either. And I for one, love the orange accents, seat material, and the wheels on the XLT, so I chose that trim with the luxury package and co-pilot 360. The extra safety features of 360 are great, and the heated steering wheel, heated seats, and spray-in bedliner of the luxury package seal the deal. It's a shame about the ACC...but I'm totally satisfied in every other way. My advice? Unless your budget simply won't allow it...get what you want, even if it might not seem like best value. It may sting a little for a while, but a few years down the line you will most likely be very happy you took the hit.

I started out wanting a XL Hybrid. Then I decided on a XLT Hybrid. Then added the Lux package. Then XLT AWD LUX. Then XLT AWD LUX FX/4. Currently XLT LUX Tremor.

So yes, I am worse than a school girl trying to decide on her prom dress and my wife is sick of listening to me about it. :ROFLMAO:

Now I gotta call my dealer and change my pre-order. Trust me he is going to be sick of me before this is all over too
