Wonderful. Make another variation that won't deliver. How about fulfilling the current orders before burying themselves in another Bronco debacle.

Most people on this forum are Ford people but what a KL TrailHawk has that a Bronco sport does not is lockers. If you can pick a vehicle for off-roading with both basically the same ground clearance what one would you go with the one with lockers or the without . Or am missing something I am not a Bronco sport pro .
My understanding (never tested it personally) was the differential locker in the Bronco Sport did a good job at locking out. For the class and capability of these vehicles, does a mechanical locker vs electronic one really make that much difference? At that point I figure you need to elevate to the Broncos and Wranglers of the world. Not rhetorical, I really am curious on this.

It's hard to tell, but with the upgrades the Tremor showed getting (for one evening) it should be on par with the Badlands BS right? Same engine, same electronic 4x4, same tires, same dual clutch, and a higher ground clearance. Granted we are missing approach and breakover, but it should be potent for this class vehicle.

Makes you sort of wonder if they do eventually come out with a Raptor version what will the upgrades be, perhaps another inch clearance with better shocks, maybe the 2.3L, larger wheels and tires? But then we ask the question, at what price. The Tremor might be a pretty good value if it remains at just $3k for the package.

If I didn't want to keep my payments as low as reasonably possible, I'd opt for the Tremor just for the twin-disc rear diff. This alone would make trudging through those unplowed roads after an overnight dump of a foot+ of snow child's play.

Well, there is no real substitute for the mechanical systems, they just work consistently better than those which are programmed via the vehicles systems, they do still attempt to do the same thing. I suspect the average operator, unless a serious off-roader, couldn't tell the difference as they never go into conditions which would allow them to see the differences. I also imagine that if you're patient, the programmed system will come close in performance, the system just need time to figure it out. Something mechanical system don't need to do,
BTW, I owned a Cherokee, though not the Trailhawk version I had wanted, and it was a tank. We got 2 1/2 feet of snow while I was at work, and the darn thing drove like there was nothing there. I rarely touched the drive modes for conditons, but sometimes threw it in "sport" for snow just for fun. Pulling holeshots in snowy/slushy roads was a blast as their system really let you throw some power down w/ little intervention -- and you would just freakin' go. It was far smoother operating than my '11 Escape, which also did very well in deep snow.

Anyone else on here in Marketing and web design.

The new site changes would be being developed in a dev. environment before going live so there would be basically no reason for them to be LIVE unless they chose to have them so.

Just interesting to me from a Marketing point of view in this day and age of leaks.

FORD chooses to have an intern drive the truck un-camoed then intentionally go live then take down the site. And we, and myself included eat it up haha and do the social “boosting” for them for free.👌

More models and FORD still won't be able to make more than a handful. Hell they probably have unfilled reservation for all of 2023.

I have a 2016 and been off-roading many times here in vegas and I never had problems with my lockers .
Not the lockers having issues but the ECU cutting engine power when alot of slip is detected. It may be more of thing out east where it's wetter on a trail.

Again not bashing the trail hawk as I did forget about it. Thats the only one that I think the BS could fall short to but I'd like to see more head to heads between them.

What separates the Maverick Tremor from an FX-4 Mav with an off-road package, except for the unbridled beast part?
On mine with a 2” lift 245/65/70 wildpeaks at3w, the only thing that separates it is the twin clutch drive and the different from bumper for a better approach angle.

I dunno but the raptor generally is themed around high speed Baja style off roading. BOF design I imaging handles that sort of stress much better and safer than a unibody. Pretty much if you feel like the current offroad trims on the maverick are wanna bes, the raptor would be the worst violator of that idea.

I've seen several variations on this line of thinking. The fulfillment problems are mostly related to not having parts to complete vehicles, not lack of effort or intent. Companies can't stand still on other projects that take years to develop to fruition because of missing parts to complete current products for sale. I can guarantee Ford would love to sell as many of our ordered Mavericks as quickly as possible, but some things are beyond their control. And yes, I am still waiting for mine too

The Badlands comes with the same engine as the Maverick. It's the other trims below Badlands that are the three banger. Is that the disconnect?
No, it was this " Only difference will be truck bed vs no truck bed and maverick has 1 more bore … "

They both have same 4 cyl engine as mentioned above. got that. I assumed the "bore" to mean cylinder and only reason for saying 1 more cylinder would have been a reference to the 4 cyl vs. 3 cyl and not sure what that was referring to. That's what I get for assuming I suppose o_O

Very true. I’m sure if they release this for 2023 orders, they know they have enough parts to make some of the tremor package. Why not sell a few at greater profit margin than not offer it at all? Makes sense for them to release it, even if they can only offer it in limited numbers.

agreed plus a lot people buying mavericks wont care about this package. small percentage of people want it in the first place. i think they will have enough to go around
