Get some decals from etsy. There are multiple sellers who can likely come up with something acceptable to differentiate the two.

Confused by the Sept 5th date and just got. You can change the color if it is schedule to be built Sept 5 and it maybe enough time to change the color if the Build date is Aug 1 or 8th. Believe @fordvideoguy says this maybe possible but not guaranteed.

Adjust your expectations and replace the words "bizarre" and "nonsense" with words like "fun" and "keeping it light". If you are looking for a forum where a moderator blindly deletes posts that dont stick tightly to the topic, you are going to have a rough time here on MTC. Different strokes for different folks!

Instead of dangling from the mirror, get something that dangles from the rear bumper or tow hitch. I forget what those are called... Seen them from time to time. Anyone remember?

Get different colour letters for the tailgate. eBay has numerous dealers selling them, I paid about $20. They are very easy to install.

Ohh no worries. No hurt feelings. I spend an obscene amount of time on here and so I feel like I have a sense of the "vibe". And that vibe is to be all over the place when it comes to where the conversation heads.

It seems the one officially labeled "staff member/administrator" doesn't tend to interact much with the rest of us or do a ton of micromanagement. Other than renaming thread titles occasionally without telling anyone. Haha. I have seen that happen a few times. And posting some high level stuff like the weekly scheduling plans and sometimes a "scoop" story of leaked photos, etc...

It works for me!

To the OP of this thread.....sorry to derail! I am done. I promise! Back to the topic at hand.

I second the usage of tailgate letter colors. I bought some reflective black for when mine shows up. Seems like a cool way to tell them apart.

Hilarious problem and I know most of you are just dying to be scheduled... Well my mom and brother both ordered Ecoboosts back in November and my brother got his last week and my mom went down there with him to get it (he still lives at home) and she says "wait... I thought you said you ordered alto blue?". Well his truck was VELOCITY blue. Rewind back to November when my mom went in to order hers (a week after he ordered his), she actually called him to make sure she wasn't getting the same color as him. When she asked him what color he ordered he said "blue". She then proceeds... "Well was it Alto Blue or Velocity Blue?". "Uh... Alto Blue I think".

End of story is that my mom just got her ecoboost scheduled to be built on September 5 and her and my brother are both going to have Velocity Blue AWD ecoboost Ford Maverick XLs at the same house! I told her to look into decals or something so they can differentiate them from each other. Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket decals? I thought I would recommend some but we've never tried to install something like this on a vehicle and have no idea if it's better left up to a dealership/body shop to install them.

How about a dangly thing to attach to the rear view mirror. Doesn't have to be anything special just something to distinguish one vehicle for the other.

If the brother has a hitch he can easily attach a pair of dangly things on his.

Thanks for all the ideas guys. The dealer told my mom she could not change color. Sounded odd to me but I think it is locked in through their system. Possibly something they could change if they called Ford directly?
