Hilarious problem and I know most of you are just dying to be scheduled... Well my mom and brother both ordered Ecoboosts back in November and my brother got his last week and my mom went down there with him to get it (he still lives at home) and she says "wait... I thought you said you ordered alto blue?". Well his truck was VELOCITY blue. Rewind back to November when my mom went in to order hers (a week after he ordered his), she actually called him to make sure she wasn't getting the same color as him. When she asked him what color he ordered he said "blue". She then proceeds... "Well was it Alto Blue or Velocity Blue?". "Uh... Alto Blue I think".

End of story is that my mom just got her ecoboost scheduled to be built on September 5 and her and my brother are both going to have Velocity Blue AWD ecoboost Ford Maverick XLs at the same house! I told her to look into decals or something so they can differentiate them from each other. Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket decals? I thought I would recommend some but we've never tried to install something like this on a vehicle and have no idea if it's better left up to a dealership/body shop to install them.

Look up some accent kits on Amazon. Fairly easy to apply but be slow and careful. I betcha there's advice on YouTube.

We have twin VB trucks in my household. It was on purpose though.

Putting decals on is easy peasy.

With turtles, don't you put some nail-polish on one of their shells? Haha. Maybe that was a plotline of a 90's sitcom. I saw it somewhere.....

How about a dangly thing to attach to the rear view mirror. Doesn't have to be anything special just something to distinguish one vehicle for the other.

Have one of them get the lettering filled in on the tailgate. You can get vinyl, plastic or metal ones. Ford has them in their accessory shop plus plenty on Ebay. Easy to do and looks sharp.

Yeah they added a red mark or something like that.

As for OP there are alot of threads on here about decals some with instructions and alot with critiques. One good thing about the Maverick is there isa alot to customize on it. Even like getting the window rain guards or changing the antenna or a tonnoau cover. Wheels come to mind aswell just some center caps or a couple cans of spray paint and a deck of cards.

Memorize the license plates. Not even the whole thing, just memorizing the first few or the last few letters or digits will suffice.

If needs be, can even slap a label on the back of each fob with that relevant data.

Doesn't the key fob have buttons on it? My F-150 has the mechanical switchblade type key fob, but buttons to lock/unlock doors and red panic button on it. All a person would need to do is hit the panic button or door lock button to locate the correct vehicle. Comes in handy in crowded parking lots too...

At one point in time, I had 2 MK3 Foci parked next to each other. Both gray hatchbacks. Difference there? One was the newer face-lifted model, in a slightly darker shade (sterling vs. magnetic), backed into the spot. And they have assigned spots.

So if they always park in the same spots, that's one way to tell them apart. lol

Does this forum have active moderators?
No. lol

Occasionally, they'll do things silently, but they have no presence. It's... not great. For all I know, it's just a bot.

Oddly, this is illegal in some states.
