My dealer keeps telling me they will let me know when they get some in stock so I can come look at them in person. Pretty sure they don't realize I'll get my truck before they get any of theirs.

The first four weeks of production (so week of 8/16 to week of 9/6) were pretty much all dealer stock builds and, as far as we know, predominately Ecoboosts.

I ordered my XLT in mid June order 1001 and still have not gotten a vin number. Why is it taking so long to get them produced. Have seen they have canceled production dates twice now and still do not understand why.

Do a little more research. The official guidance from Ford was always PRODUCTION would start mid-September and DELIVERY would start sometime in the 4th quarter. 4th quarter STARTS in October and goes all the way through end of December. They have not wavered from that. NO, I'm not going to go find the articles, quotes, links for you.

1 year ago at this time, Ford would not even acknowledge the Maverick even existed. Then when it became obvious it DID exist, lots of people were mad Ford whouldn't make a splashy public unveiling, they they were mad the specs weren't released, then they were mad they couldn't rush right down to their dealer and buy 1 (or NOT!). Now it's constant complaints about exactly WHEN their new toy will arrive because other factors in their life are making then anxious- like when to sell current vehicle for top $ or wanting to buy a house at the same time and FORD is creating this big problem for them. Get a grip on reality. If you can't hang until it's ready, there are plenty of dealers near you dying to sell you a Santa Cruz for $2-6k markup over MSRP.

I placed the third order with my dealer. None have been scheduled. But they did get a stock order built. So that conflicts with your data.

Bad Karma for trying to game the system with multiple orders. Guarantee your dealer DID NOT get a stock order built- even if they have 1 listed with VIN on their website. Same old tricks.

Family is from Georgia, moved out to help take care of Dad and his Alzheimer’s plus take a research position, grew up in DFW and Kent (Sutton Valance) /Surrey England.
