what dealer did you order from?
I used elder Ford
I went to Veterans Ford in Tampa. I had stopped by Bill Currie Ford but the sales guy was not exciting. A lady there did show me the tonneau covers which helped me decide on the hard roll up. So the next day I went to Veterans Ford and confirmed my order.

Hello Tampa area... Some meandering comments "for what it's worth" ~ Buffalo Springfield...
1. I had bad experiences at both Sarasota Ford (wanted $1k for reservation, later found did not require such!), their sales folks refused to be professional and provide information I requested... and were offended by my requests... (participation trophy recipients perhaps?) and elder Ford, I will guess, due to their knowledge of how matters unfolded at Sarasota, chose not to get involved. Unbelievable.
2. Called on Gator Ford and Brandon Ford - Gator was fine, but Brandon's Jim Gordon impressed me with quick responses (emails, texts and calls) and actual information sent forth upon requesting... so I stayed with Brandon F - though I think Gator would have been good as well.
3. Problem at Brandon F was I submitted my final order build request on 8/11/21... they confirmed receiving it... but after never receiving any other feedback, I wrote again on 8/18/21 only to have them reply, apologetically, that they had "dropped the ball" and would actually submit my reservation that day. I lost 6 days of queue time!
4. Since then, I have done some Yelp review reading... seems like all of these Ford D's have bad customer service with Automotive Servicing... DAMN! I guess I will have to lower all of my expectations when I do get the Maverick and it requires Ford Certified Warranty work!
5. After placing that Reservation with Brandon F - I discovered here on the forum, Tom B with Horsham, PA Ford.... and they will price at 4% below Ford Invoice (Cost drop from
$36.6k down to $34k!)

Now there is a bit of a conundrum... order through the PA dealership? and lose my 2 week position for filing my Reservation (BTW I am without any car right now - long story not worth it here)... Or continue with Brandon F and rely on building a good business relationship, so that my Service experience won't be horrible... and hope that they will be good to their word on a fair price!?Q@?

Howdy, similar experience with Parks Ford in Gainesville. They finally responded " We are not interested in doing anything less than MSRP. " So I think Horsham will be the way to go for me.

In my case YES.
I placed my initial order at Crystal River Ford. They wanted $36,900 out the door.
Chapman Ford is charging me $33,400 out the door. I was drop shipping to Port Richey for $200 Courtesy Drop/Drop Ship fee. There are possible other costs by using a Drop Ship such as Dealer Installed Options (DIO's), fuel, and any misc stuff you may want.

By not shipping I can catch a one way Frontier flight from Tampa for $38, Orlando $58 to TTN. Chapman will courtesy pick up at airport. Instead of driving home, approx 990 miles, I'll catch the Auto Train from Lorton VA to Sanford FL. Depending if wife travels, train is $58 or $189 (private room).
Don't forget to include the price for the vehicle on the train which is $250 - $300.

I originally went local and communication was poor to non-existence. I too found Chapman Ford Horsham PA and Tom & Steven. I went from a 6/10 original order date to a 7/22 date. So although I lost a LOT of time the Out The Door (OTD) amount was $3,500 cheaper. I believe you'll need to weigh the OTD amount between the dealers and see what makes sense. I really don't believe losing 2 weeks is that big a deal.

I have had NOTHING but GOOD luck with Tom and Steven. I'm not looking back.

I was the first to contact Jeff Swift, Commercial Manager at Ford of Port Richey. He accepted the opportunity to CD the truck for $200. I believe he has agreed to do 6-7 now. So there is relatively a local dealer for you to pick up your truck.

As for relationship with a local dealer, You can buy it in PA and START a relationship with a local dealer for service.

Not sure what you mean by Train Cost. There is no train cost. There is a Courtesy Delivery/Drop Ship cost by the dealer who is doing you the favor will be anywhere from $200-$350 plus other costs depending on the services you request.

Question... Anyone able to confirm that the interior will have a garage door activation / synch hookup switch? Also confirm there is a storage drop down from the front ceiling for Sun-Eyeglasses?

You mentioned taking the auto train. You have to buy a ticket for yourself and for your vehicle. A ticket for you is cheap. To put your car on the train they charge $250-$300 depending on size. I think it's still worth it, nice trip on the train.

Lots of posts about garage door opener on the forum. Short answer "NO"
As for Sunglass holder, if you get a Moonroof, "NO". But either way, there is a small compartment behind the center screen for glasses.

It's all good... I have what I want and need. Still have the standard "openers" with clips that I can put on the visor. But, LOL, did not think that piece of technology would be absent... it has been part of new cars for what? 8or 10 years?

Yep. Same problem here. Only saving grace for me is I'm banished to the carport. The wife has the Garage Queen. So I don't need no stinkin' garage door opener anyway.

Hello Floridians! I want to welcome @vvavepacket to the forums! He is thinking about ordering through Chapman and asked me if I know of any good Fleet Managers (for Dropshipping if Tom will still allow) in the Miami region. Can anyone here help him out?
