I must say we are too easily saying Ford must be blamed even though due to our fault as a country pretty much every industry now relies on providers from out of country and is facing supply chain issues and are facing employment problems due to lazy people not wanting to work because a generation was told they need to expecs to get a paycheck in the mail for doing nothing cuz that is how is should be. We tend to act as though Ford is exempt and should be cranking vehicles out without a hitch. Simply, plainly, not true. Do I wish it was different? Sure. But let's not blame Ford as a company.

Only one flaw in that rant. Unemployment is 3.6%, so I don’t think it’s a bunch of lazy people causing the issues.

States shutdown for way too long, certain items are not available or similar items are available at a very inflated price.
Ford is far from the only company having supply issues today.

Yes the supply chain issues are industry wide but Ford is at fault for breaking a promise to all of us. In their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

They could easily update us with another email every once in a while to say still on hold... or something. That would be better than crickets.

Actually, no. bis.gov says "People are classified as unemployed if they do not have a job, have actively looked for work in the prior 4 weeks, and are currently available for work."
So if a person is unemployed and has not informed the trackers of unemployment that they have actively looked for work in the prior 4 weeks and are currently available for work they are not considered unemployed even though they are and are not part of that 3.6%. This figure is obviously skewed because there are "we are hiring" signs everywhere and at places there were no such signs even a year ago. Some businesses are still cut back on services because they are understaffed. Although retired I work seasonally at a local apple orchard. They asked me to come to work early this season because no one is applying for their openings where in prior years there was no problem. Those positions the owner tries to fill with high school and college students and works very hard to accommodate their schedule, but ...

Would it be that since the boomers have or are leaving the workforce and they are such a huge group and the following age groups are not nearly as big, we simply have to realize businesses need to scale back, become smaller, because there are fewer customers and people to work the jobs the boomers created?

do you have any incontrovertible proof from inside Ford of their "mismanagement" or do you want to simply keep repeating stuff that fits your narrative because you are unhappy with car buying not being as simple as you expect it to be based on some limited understanding of the industry?
