Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

Two have recently shown up in my neighborhood, a Velocity Blue and Area 51. Also saw a HPR Lariat a couple weeks back at the Farmers Market in Olympia. That's the first HPR I have seen besides my own. I keep trying to catch up to the two in my area but they drive too fast for me to catch!

Manchester you say. I spend my weekends at my 55+ house. Been in Whiting for 16 years. Moved twice, nice area. You might see mine some day. Been to Country Garden for mulch twice so far with it.

Saw my first maverick away from home. Coming back from Duluth, Minnesota, saw a Hot Pepper Red pass me going east on 94 somewhere east of Eau Claire. So that's my 6th I've seen.

What a great city - Prescott Az. I have a buddy originally from Ohio that recently retired there in Prescott and he enjoys learning about geology from a stellar Geologist at the local community college that has made his retirement very special. She apparently is from Ohio also, so they both commiserate about the Ohio snow etc.

As far as a Maverick connection....we are both still awaiting our AWD Maverick orders.... but he is leaning toward dumping Ford and going Hyundai SC. I told him to talk about Geology with his lovely instructor and hold out for the Maverick........I’m trying to distract him with the intellect and warmth of the Geologist!

He wants to go “ rock hounding” in the AWD Maverick......now if I only knew her name at the junior college. Hang in there buddy. Hold out for your Ford, besides the Geologist is probably married anyway!

Prescott is certainly a unique community. Love the history and the rodeo! Some folks might have better luck looking for a cancelled order or customer change of mind for their Maverick.

The SC is definitely a nice looking car ... car, as in not really a truck. No question about the Maverick being all truck.

Saw my second Maverick yesterday in supermarket parking lot. Alto Blue XLT, FX4. Really like that colour, but not available for the XL, which is all I need. Talked to the owner, who really likes the truck.

I've seen 3 maybe 4 but that was a long time ago. Today leaving Sam's club with my cart, what do I see backing out of a parking space, but a carb. Gray Maverick. I held my hand out to have the driver stop. I chatted a bit. He was very happy with his. Then on my drive home I saw going the opposite way was a HPR or RR maverick. Today was a good day. Makes me want my Maverick like today.

I see a SC every time I go through this town when I visit my parents. Its like an odd greenish color. Kinda a green gray. I don't like the looks of the SC nor this ugly color.

I don't like them either. If it had a slightly larger bed I would consider it. Like thev100k warranty. Checked out some local dealers no one has any.

Aside from my truck I have seen 2 others in the city (population 60k) where I live. I don't know if I've seen any Santa Cruz's but who cares anyway? Yesterday I went to home depot and when I finished shopping and came out, there were 4 guys standing around my truck checking it out.. For better or worse it gets a lot of attention.

I still haven't seen any Mavericks except mine (had it for 2 weeks). I haven't seen any Santa Cruz's, either. I live in a big metro area, so I'm starting to think some have driven right past me and I didn't notice them. Within a few days of telling my daughter and her boyfriend I had a Maverick on order, he texted me a pic of a black one he spotted.

Had my first “Close Encounter of the Third Kind” when I actually briefly talked to a fellow Mav owner at a traffic light a week or so ago. His was Cyber Orange. Figured out his was a hybrid when he said he was getting 42 mpg. Said he really likes his truck and complimented me on mine.

The light turned green and we to go our separate ways after too brief a conversation.

So far I have seen 5 total in the past five months since I got mine.

I saw a silver one when I left the grocery store this morning and then 3 hours later I picked mine up from the dealership!!
