Hello: I am new to the forum and this is my first post so if I sound uninformed sorry. There is a lot of good info on this board but the problem I am having is having to read a thousand different post and I am getting totally confused. I would like to see a step by step guide on how to order the 23 Maverick. From what I am reading the order bank opens on August 2nd. My first question is do you need to do a reservation before you do a order at the dealer? Do you do the reservation online and bring it to the dealer or do you have to do everything at the dealer? Not sure how you dealer shop if that is the case any clarification would be helpful. Also would like to see a complete list of what are the constraint items and what to avoid. I have been to my local dealer a couple of times and I have left both times with more questions the answers, not sure how knowledgeable they are.

First question for you is whether or not you have an existing 22 order?
Right now it looks like early Aug orders will be for existing order holders who will need to transition to the next MY.

No, no reservation number needed.

The biggest thing is to find a dealer that will honor your agreed upon price down the road, with no surprise added markup.

Hello and thanks for the reply unfortunately that is one of the things I am confused about. I have read that the Aug 2nd date is also for new 23 orders also and is not dependent on have a existing 22 order.

That is true. Ford is supposedly preparing a procedure to identify and prioritize the 22MY orders. But you can place a 23MY order on Aug 2nd regardless of whether you had a 22MY order.

You can, or they can do it live with you. It only takes about 5 min.

No MY23 reservations.
Reservations for the MY22 Maverick ended being nothing more than sales leads with your desired build.
If you’re looking to order a MY23 Lighting then you’d need a reservation .

Sounds like you need a new dealer. Find a big one that moves a lot of cars. There's some good YouTubes that explain the process. I, personally, wouldn't worry about the constraints. You want what you want, just have to wait longer. #1 constraint is probably the hybrid drivetrain, but if you want the non-hybrid then that's better for your wait. Good Luck!
