Consequences of changing order at this point?

We have (2) Mav's on order from the same (very large) dealer. Both are currently priority 15 at said dealer. We would like to change the XLT hybrid to a Lariat hybrid. I have read and been told conflicting things as to what will happen to the order if we make changes. Will changing this order push us to the back of the line? If so, is that just at the dealership level?

Our second Mav order at the same dealer is an EB XLT AWD. I would like to add the BAP and change the color on this build. I'm asking if anyone knows what the consequences of changing both of these orders may or may not be? I plan on asking my salesperson on Monday but so far this board has been way more in the know then he has been, lol. I'm pretty certain the EB will get build but the odds on the hybrid are maybe 50/50 at this point.

Thoughts?

Only your dealer can answer these questions. The answer will be based on the dealer's allocation levels, the dealer's policy on these things and your place in the dealer's queue.

Your priority code of 15 is only relevant to other orders at that dealer.

Ok. I will for sure check with my dealer tomorrow and see if it's wise or not to make any changes. I really don't think it would change things with our EB order but not so sure on changing the hybrid order from XLT to Lariat. It's a crap shoot whether the hybrid even gets built so changing to Lariat might not make that much difference anyway but who the heck knows.

Based on my understanding, they plan to build more XLTs than another trim.
There is conflicting information about how changing trim affects your place in line. Ford says it does not, Tim Bartz thinks it would. Personally, I would think it would.
We also know they have too many Hybrid orders.
Based on all that, I would not change the XLT Hybrid, unless you REALLY want a Lariat.

BAP, last I knew, had far less orders than they planned to build. So adding BAP to the EB should not have any impact. BAP and color are packages, those changes do not change order date.

I ordered my EB Lariat in September and changed the color in October. That did not seem to affect anything as I am scheduled for March 13. I kind of want to add the spray in bedliner but now that I am scheduled not sure if I can do that or if it will affect anything.

Ford made the following statement "Unlike in 2022MY where changes to retail orders (including powertrain) will not impact vehicle scheduling" here https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/📝-12-14-22-–-2023-maverick-availability-memo-allows-order-switch-from-hybrid-to-ecoboost-new-discount-package-current-constraints-info.24779/

What it seems they meant to say was changes will not reset your order date. Therefore it will not put you further behind other orders. I think people that have made changes have found this to be true.
