Spoke to my Salesperson asking questions about preparing to order a 2023 on 8-2 and was told the order banks opening on 8-15. I told them that had changed to 8-2 and it was for both rollover orders and new orders. They said they just had a meeting with their managment going over any new information and it was still 8-15 when she asked Management. I told them I would send them a video from Tim Bratz the video guy that has been very informative about everything related to the Maverick including our abiity to place and order for a 2023 and leaving our 2022 order in place. They took the video to the Dealership Manager and Owner and said he said nope its 8-15 and we couldn't reorder . I told them to watch the video and if they had questions contact Tim and talk directly to him. I also made an appointment to see my salesperson on 8-2 at 10AM because I was there to order a 2023 if my existing order stil did not have a build schedule. My Sales person made an appointment and my sales person said she will contact me if anything changed on the build schedule before we meet and for me to contact her is I knew anything else new. I told her to have her managment again to watch the video and explained Tim has been a valuable source of information and his dealership moved a lot of vehicles, and that he has a lot of followers including dealerships that follow his channels...good thing is she has asked her management to watch the video Tim just did and that she is willing to schedule my appointment and keep communication between us open...bottom line Ford continues to make a mess of this and the dealerships are confused.....

I made an appointment with my dealer on 8/2. But he did say he was sure of how this all will work. What happens to people who are not part of a forum like this? Hopefully Ford itself clarifies this soon. And communicates this to the customers.

Most dealers are dumb.

Have you considered just ordering from Tim?
I've got a 22 XL with hitch option nothing else and it's approved by Ford but still sitting in priority 10 which the dealership set in November. I figure they didn't either read or get the information..

Something else you can print and hand to them.

2023 Ford Maverick Orders Will Open Two Weeks Earlier Than Planned (fordauthority.com)

You need to be aggressive. There are going to be salespeople with stacks of orders on their desk on 8/1 ready to punch in the minute the banks open on 8/2. If she won't work with you, get someone else to help you with the order.

I've gotten emails from 2 dealers I have spoken with notifying me of what I already knew, that the order banks are now 8/2. Some dealers are proactive and some not so much, I'm willing to bet some dealers are going to be in for a big surprise on 8/2.

A November order should be a priority 2 by now, set by Ford, not the dealer. Ask them to check the "ROVP" to see if it has been verified.

I talked with my dealer today and he knows the order banks for the Maverick opens on 8/2.

On 8/1 we will set up a time to meet so that I can place my MY23 order on 8/2.

Unfortunately, not the case. I have an October 1 order: Hybrid XL with only spare tire and hitch. Nothing else. Contacted Ford Chat this morning and still in the exact same position as OP: Clean, Priority 10. Absolutely no clue what formula Ford uses to assign VIN/build dates (or even moving to Priority 2), but it is absolutely not FIFO like they have been stating.

Order has approved status. and has both an ROVP Number and COVP number...on the on line document the dealer printed me similar to the one Tim showed on his broadcast and it says approved. The dealer said they checked this morning and still a 10.

Mines the same. Tire and a hitch but I still have no scheduled date. I’m at a priority 10 too. What’s odd is I even ordered from the largest ford truck dealer in my state so I would think they’d have more allocations?
I can’t be too upset since I ordered 8 days before they closed all the maverick orders lol

Same boat here. I've contacted half a dozen dealers in my area and they're either totally clueless or don't want customers to know the Maverick ordering info. Very weird.

I don’t think it matters for people still waiting on 22 orders WHEN they place their 23 order
If all rolled over 22 orders have priority you’ll be ahead of the stack of new orders
On top of that there are still a couple of weeks to schedule 22’s after 23 orders open up
As long as you order before they start scheduling 23’s you’ll be fine
