Do you guys know when you are going to be stocking the Lund 969380 ? I am kind of stuck on decided between quite a few models, and it seems NAPA is selling that at a pretty aggressive price, was curious as to when you guys will offer it and if the forum discount sweetens that particular cover.

Just don't buy the Tri-Fold through Ford, i got one with my Hybrid Maverick, it's going on Week 3 (Friday) and i still don't have it on my truck. It was not designed right, or it was defective when it was built, where no matter how tight against the bed you make it, it flaps with such violence it causes the entire truck to vibrate.. I ended up bringing it to service here at my Ford Dealer, and they have been fighting with Ford the past 3 weeks to get me a replacement. The only Bonus i have is that if in the next two weeks it's not resolved i can lemon law the truck as it was factory purchased and on the Build sheet.

I purchased an Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 from Real truck and I'm very happy with it. Installation was a breeze and it fits great. I don't notice any excessive flutter at highway speeds but have noticed a bit better gas mileage. I got 34 mpg on a 60-mile trip while staying within the speed limits. I also drove in some stop-and-go mix and went to 31.1 mpg. I had been getting 29 to 30 mpg on average before. There is a small amount of water leakage when I wash the truck using a pressure washer to rinse. So far very happy with my Maverick, the only thing is the clicking sound from the truck when I walk around it with the key fob in my pocket.

Here is a video on the install and benefits of the tailgate seal -
@ToddsTruckLife

I see there are multiple seals on RealTruck’s website. Which one was used here? Does the seal’s glue hold well, or is the seal something you have to redo every year or two?

I see what appears to be slits cut down the ones on the sides. Does the seal come like that, or is that something you did to help the tailgate close better?

This is the one I usually suggest and if you click on the 3rd pic you will see that "slit" I think you are referring to which is how the seal is designed

Sorry for the delay, I'm out of town. The seals I used for the ProX15 was ultra thin. I replaced the seal that came on the ProX15 rails with it. The t-slot rail is centered in the bed and I used the thicker seal to bridge the gap from the t-slot rail to the bulkhead and to the tailgate. That way, when the ProX15 rails go on, they either make contact with the t-slot rails, or the seal. Once those seals are clamped down, they can't really go anywhere so they wouldn't need to be replaced unless the rails were on and off all the time. That's one thing that's cool about the system, because the rack and cover can be removed easily if needed, without removing the rails. :)

No worries about the time for your reply. Your response was plenty quick enough.
Sorry I wasn’t clear. I was referring to the tailgate seal you put on in the video I referenced in my post #65 (from RealTrucks post #50).
I included pics in my post #67, that might explain more.

Actually, I just went back and looked the message over again. You were very clear, I was rushing and thought this was for a different video.
The seal I'm using here, I believe is Extang's. There are several companies that make tailgate seals that pretty much all do the same thing, they just have slightly different profiles. I don't have a preference between them. If I need to order one, I usually just check to see what's in stock. As far as longevity, it depends on what gets dragged across it daily. If you constantly have dirt and gravel you sweeping out, it will probably wear out along the bottom a little quicker. The key to making the adhesive last is to make sure that you thoroughly prep the painted surface with isopropyl alcohol. I use 91% because it dries the fastest. Try not to touch the adhesive with your skin and use plenty of pressure to make a good bond.

Thanks. All of that makes sense.
And is the slit, I noticed and did the red arrow for, something you did to help the gate close?

It's actually not a slit. That's just part of the profile of that particular seal. You can see it a little better in the next picture down, with the 2:11 time stamp. It would probably serve the function just as well with or without the ridge. Hope that's helpful!

Other should find all of this useful as well.

Does anyone know the quality of the roll up tonneau cover that comes from the Ford Factory. When I had put in my order, there weren't many options readily available or if it all.. Now there are many and I was looking at possibly getting the BAK Revolver X4s.
