Thanks. This is pretty much exactly what I am doing.
I actually don't like all weather mats but there are no proper carpet mats, so I went with the Ford all weather mats, just ordered them today. I also ordered the extang trifecta signature from realtruck for 400 dollars including shipping and tax. I think this is a great value. Next would be the spray in bedliner. I also ordered two bags, one which fits under the back seat and one behind the seat. That is it thus far.

I just installed the Extang Trifecta ALX. It's an awesome cover. You'll be pleased.

You should just use a USB drive! You can load them on as mp3 or mp4 files and fit tons of CD's on one thumb drive. That's what I have done. It works in my Focus so I'm pretty sure it will work in the Maverick.

What's the trick for navigating music played from a USB? Can't do it while driving and if you have a lot of music on it, the screen is slow and it takes longer than a red light.

Using a windows computer and windows media player, rip your cd's to mp3's. Put them all on one flash drive and enjoy nonstop music or jump to your favorite tunes. Then Toss out the CD player. Flash drive must be formatted Fat32, no exceptions.

You can put your favorite mixes or artists in folders on a flash drive. Select the folder before you head out. Sorry, no better answers.

FAT32 isn't the only drive format supported. If the drive is over >32gb then exFAT is probably the better choice.

Better yet, since the Maverick has Apple/Android play use your phone as a flash drive, every 5 years I get a new phone, just got an Apple 13 with 512 memory. This way I can plug my phone in and use apple car play and have music.

Found something that intrigues me and would be very useful, plus eliminate the need for something else in the carport.

Would love to find a manufacturer that would make something enclosed in the Maverick tailgate.

Also love this, but it is kinda pricy. So, I guess I'll go with something out of the lumber I have around the house and paint it black.

I'm getting impatient waiting for weathertech, husky, or tuxmat to release mats for the hybrid. Are you happy with the Ford branded all weather mats? How's the coverage?

- tonneau cover, bought from Bison b/c they seem to be the most bang for buck in Canada
- bed extender, great for splitting your trunk in half to prevent groceries from sliding around + can extend the bed for dump runs
- larger mirror, didn't like having to move my head to see everything w/ the stock mirror
- shorter antenna, purely aesthetics although I saw a guy post a thread today about his garage door rope wrapping around the antenna and damaging the vehicle
- LED lights, brighter, whiter, really nice.
- ceramic coating to be done this weekend, IMO this is a necessary expense given how thin the paint on the maverick is
- backseat dog covers - required for me b/c 3 dogs. Get one w/ a window so they aren't constantly trying to climb over to see you + better airflow
- megaohm, disables the hybrid noise & back up beeping b/c I'm not a fan of the sounds. I don't live in the city, almost never drive around people.

I just leave mine on shuffle. Since it's my music I like all the songs I've loaded anyway.

I can confirm a 16GB will not read in the maverick, at least using FAT32. I curently have a 4GB loaded with MP3 music and it works fine and shuffles quickly. Did not try 8GB for I did not have one.

Partition table format also matters; it needs to be MBR and not GPT.
