Cactus gray is just white paint that wishes it wasn't dirty.

Technically, color is the perception of light. "Pure" white would reflect/transmit all light. Anything bad you say about white bounces off of it and sticks to you.

White makes a good basecoat for plenty of velocity blue. Solves the thin paint issue.

Well I originally ordered the Oxford White, then changed my order to Cactus Gray, but I ended up with Shadow Black! It's a long story and I won't bore you with the details. I love that Oxford White. But the Shadow Black is sexy when she's clean. It's just keeping her clean that is the problem.

I think the best colour is Alto Blue. And I ordered Carbonized Grey.

I'm surprised Area 51 is the most popular colour. It does look good but I wonder how it being used to market the Maverick helped.

For all you who have experienced the thin paint, white and maybe black, is the way to go. Easy touch up. And if you live in the Midwest, you’ll probably go with white unless you have a car wash membership.
