The Maverick doesn't have rear AC vents but it does have air vent under the front seat for the benefit of rear passengers. This pic from reddit is of the floor underneath front passenger seat.

Same solution as what the 2021 Bronco has.

Does the floor vent always flow, or do you have to have the air set to floor, or mixed mode? (on this car or others, I've never paid attention)

These are mentioned on pg 132 of the owners manual, but it’s nice to see a photo of them. There’s no mention of the rear ducts flowing only on specific settings so I’d guess they’re always on.

P133 mentions that some air may always blow from the footwell vents. To quickly heat the interior they suggest turning the heat and fan to max and directing air to the footwell vents, so it seems like the range goes from very low to high and they may not turn off completely.

One day while we were bored in a F150 we figured out it just matches whatever that side the person in the front has it set to. So with dual zone one side in the rear could be heat and one could be cool depending on what is set up there. Dont know if you have to have floor air on though.

Thank you for the info and pixs, vents will be better for heat than air conditioning.

Yeah. That's what all of our last 3 vehicles had. Of course, individual seats in the front allow the front vents to circulate to the rear seats in smaller vehicles so I've never seen any reason to need special passenger vents.

My wife’s 2010 Fusion has floor vents and they work great for heating, but not cooling. Hot air rises, cold air sinks. Better off at aiming the dash vents.
