2022MY Maverick will no longer offer FWD (W8E) with Trailer Tow Package (53Q). Must add AWD for 4K Towing

I just called the 800 number listed in the post (1800-334-4375) and spoke to Michael, who confirmed that this is NOT case. The 4k Towing Package IS available on the FWD models.

- Long MacArthur said he spoke with the brand manager and that guy said they are not building it and change needs to be made.

- Fords build and price doesn’t force AWD when you select tow.

- You are saying customer service told ya that they are building the FWD with tow

- my tracking doesn’t show tow package, but my dealership says it’s on there (and double checked)

- Someone on this forum says my dora order doesn’t have the tow package.

Hey can you post a photo of you tracking details (not vin or anything) but the packages near the bottom of the screen.

my dealership order has the 4K to package and the FWD, but when I got my schedule build from Ford, I look at the packages (lariat lux, safety, 500a) but the 4K is missing.

I’ll show you my screen shot so you know where to look

So wait, you have my specific info? I double checked with my sales rep and he checked with his GM and sure enough I placed in the order a 4K tow and FWD.

my dealer told me the opposite. if your order was made prior to the change it will be built as ordered.

Pretty sure I saw a video from a dealer saying that if you ordered a FWD with 4k towing that it will NOT be built. Your dealer should contact you about changing your order.

Anyone get contact from their dealer about having to modify a FWD/4k build? I did today but dealer was unsure about keeping my spot on the schedule. JW if anyone had a similar experience or any further insight on this...

dealer said today i needed to add awd or drop 4tow dropped also said i needed to drop spray in liner dropped Lariat 2.0 got priority code 2
