Thank you! That's what a lot of dealers want, to take as much money as possible! My sale person charged me a 10% sale tax when my state is 6.625% if I wouldn't had looked at the paper more carefully they will had pocketed the extra money. I also realized they added extra charges that came out of nowhere.
It is unlawful to collect a tax that the retailer does not pay on the transaction. If that happens to anyone, request the money back. And if they refuse, take the evidence and report them to the state treasurer/revenue office.Thank you! That's what a lot of dealers want, to take as much money as possible! Thank you for this. Now that my vehicle is finally in production I will be armed should anything go wrong when I go into my dealership when it comes time to do the deal. I appreciate all the guidance you have provided!
Who is your dealer? You should go back to them and ask for a refund and turn them into the state division of taxation if they fail to give you a refund. Don't accept this and let Ford know as well.Thank you! That's what a lot of dealers want, to take as much money as possible! So the tax was correct based upon the price increase? Look up the Price protection guidelines that the @fordvideoguy has talked about and you should be protected and be required to pay the original agreed upon price. My dealer is Fette Ford. I actually sent them the video about price protection that Tim made, but nothing. They "fixed" the tax to represent the 6.625% instead of the 10% but when they did this, they added the increase in price that the vehicle had after December. So the tax was correct based upon the price increase? Your dealer deserves an Emmy for that acting performance.I told my dealer my order was price protected along with 0% financing. He had no idea, made some calls and I got it.
