Alright, so last week I think I discovered my most hated thing about the Maverick. The stupid seat only reclines partially back. I've had times where I need to be somewhere extremely early in the morning and I cannot be late, so to beat traffic I would drive there at night and sleep there. My 2007 Edge's seat would recline all the way back until it hits the back seat so I can lie almost completely flat, but the seat in the Maverick only goes like halfway back. Why? Does it save them money somehow for it to not go all the way back? lol. Anyway, small rant. 😂

The Maverick does have an actual bed, what more could you ask? 😂

These recline farther then my last vehicle, but it could recline a few more degrees.

I don't get why it needs a stop at all. My last vehicle, also a Ford, the seats reclined as far back as it can go until it hit something. In that case, the back seat. I don't get why this can't just do the same thing, lol.

Because it likely allows them to save a couple dollars somehow.

Same reason why even a 38k First Edition doesn't have angle adjustments for the seat cushion.

I just can't think of how it can cost any less for the seat to not have a stop on the hinge. It's not like it's motorized and something has to turn more or something, lol.

Is this the driver's seat, passenger seat, or both?

Driver's seat. Haven't tried the passenger seat yet.
Could be some new safety protocol then, to prevent someone from leaning to far back while driving. The passenger seat probably moves all the way back

I totally understand your frustration ... have you thought about using the rear seat?

I think it's just a cheaper hinge mechanism. Talk to the dealer about adaptation. They do complicated adaptations for people with physical adaptation needs.

Eh, this is more of a rant, it's not such a big deal that I would spend too much time or any money on it to fix. When I'm tired I can sleep sitting up, lol.

I'll give it a try, but somehow I doubt it'll be any different, lol.

Usually I find cars too narrow to sleep comfortably across the backseat.
